A selection of around 180 books, mostly 19th- and 20th-century books, but also with a few 18th-century items, formerly held in the library of the Royal Society of Edinburgh. The books are mostly on scientific subjects.

The books have been catalogued individually and have the shelfmark ' R.Soc.E.'.

Acquisition

The collection was deposited in the Library in 2008.
