Paisley Public Library Collection

Description

A collection of around 4,000 books, comprising former lending stock of the public library in Paisley. Paisley's Free Library and Museum on the High Street was opened in 1871, its collections based on the collections of the Paisley Philosophical Society, founded in 1808. There are also books from the former Paisley Theological Society in the collections.

The collection was donated by Paisley Central Library in 1974.
