Mauclair Collection

Description

A collection of 32 items by or relating to the French poet and novelist, Camille Mauclair, (real name Séverin Faust) (1872-1945). Mauclair was also an art critic, supporting symbolism and impressionism. The items mostly date from the 20th-century but with some dating from the 1890s. It includes editions of his best-known works, including his 1898 novel 'Le Soleil des morts'.

Acquisition

The collection was donated in 2005 by Dr AM Marchbank, former Director of Public Services at the Library.
