Description

A collection of 150 items from the personal collection of Ian Campbell Dunn (1943-1998), town planner and gay rights activist. The books are 20th-century publications, mostly from the UK, Australia and North America, which cover legal issues relating to homosexuality and gay rights causes. They reflect his work in gay rights campaigning in Scotland from the 1960s onwards as a founder member of the Scottish Minorities Group (which later became the Scottish Homosexual Rights Group, then Outright Scotland).

Acquisition

The books were bequeathed to the Library in 1998 by Ian Dunn.

Related collections

Dunn's personal correspondence and papers, covering the years 1961 to 1998, were also bequeathed to the Library at the same time. The manuscripts are held at Acc.11905.
