Hereas His Majefty hath ("together with a Treaty) propofed a
Ceffationof Arms to both His Houfes of Parliament now 16.
dayes fince,to which as yet He hath received no Anfwer: To
the end that HisMajefty may fo cleerly underftandthe Houles,
that nofuch Imputations(as have been formerly) may after be laid upon Him up¬
on occafion of any thing that may intervene: His Majefty delires, ifa-Ceflation
fhall be approved of by them, That the day upon which the Ceftation is thought
fit to begin, and fuch particular Limits and Conditions of that Ceflation as are
neceflary to be underftood and agreed on before the Ceftation it felfe can actually
begin, be propofed by them at the fame time with their Approbation ofit,Since as
His Majefty luppofeth by the prelent great Preparation of feverall Forces of the
Earle of Eftex to march feverall wayes, that till fuch time as this be done,they doe
not conceive themfelves obliged to an adtuall Ceftation • So neither till then doth
His Majefty conceive i/imfelfe obliged to it.
