LIST OF OFFICERS ON THE ACTIVE LIST OF THE
ROYAL NAVAL RESERVE ACCORDING TO SENIORITY
Note. — Permanent Officers of the Military Branch marked (1) have completed 12
months' training or 12 months 1 Active Service in the Royal Navy.
Permanent Officers of the Military Branch marked f have completed and
obtained a certificate in either a Gunnery or Torpedo Short Course,
whilst those marked J have completed and obtained a certificate in both
Gunnery and Torpedo Short Courses.
Those marked || have satisfactorily completed a short Course in Signalling
and those marked ^ a short Course in Strategy, fyc.
Those marked © have been appointed to the Reserve for training for service
in Armed Merchant Vessels.
Permanent Engineer Officers marked f have completed a three months'
course of Instruction at one of the Home Dockyards.
Permanent Lieutenant-Commanders marked (x) are entitled to exercise the
executive authority of their rank under A.M. 0. 870/1918.
The names of Honorary Officers who have not held rank on the Active List are
thoum after the List of Officers on the Active List. Retired Officers are shown in
a separate List at page 2048 of Quarterly Navy List.
