Widows of Marine Officers who held Brevet or Honorary Rank on the Active List are granted the Pensions
applicable to that Rank, but the Widows of Officers who were given Brevet or Honorary Rank on or after retire-
ment, are only eligible for the Pension npplicable to the substantive rank of the Officer when last on the Active
List.
Officers who voluntarily retire from the Service with Gratuities will be held to have forfeited all claim to
Pension on behalf of their Widows or Compassionate Allowances for their Children.
N.B.— The general Regulations governing the award of Pensions to WidowB of Officers and Warrant Officers to
the Royal Marines are assimilated, as regards Officers retired after 29th June 1882, to those governing the award of
pensions to the Widows of Officers and Warrant Officers of His Majesty's Army.
