(Go) Denotes an Officer who has qualified in short Specialist Course in Gunnery
(vide Admiralty Fleet Order 850/40).
(N) Denotes an Officer who has completed Short Course in Navigation.
(R) Denotes an Officer who has qualified in Officers' Long Course in P. &• R.T.
(C) Denotes an Officer who has qualified in the Long Communication Course.
(Ce) Denotes an Officer who has qualified in Specialist Course in Communications.
(T) Denotes an Officer who has qualified in Specialist Course in Torpedo.
(A/R) Denotes an Officer who has qualified in Air Radio.
(GS) Denotes Officers trained to take the place of Gunners (vide Admiralty Fleet
Order 527 /44).
( T*) Denotes Officers trained to take the place of Gunners ( T) in Coastal Forces or
escort aircraft carriers (vide Admiralty Fleet Order 527/44).
(G. T.S.) Denotes Officers trained in the store duties of a Gunner (T) and to a limited
extent in Whitehead and torpedo control, who will be borne in replacement
of Gunners (T) in certain " V " and " W " destroyers on certain convoy
work (vide Admiralty Fleet Order 527/44).
(G.S.f.) Indicates an Officer who is trained as a substitute for a Gunner \(vide
Admiralty Fleet Order 1505J44).
(act) after the name denotes Officer holds Acting Rank only.
