This committee was formed, at the request of the Admiralty, to assist Royal
Naval and Royal Marine Officers, who have retired or are about to retire, to find
employment in civil life.
Officers seeking civil employment are invited to apply for registration, prefer-
ably in person, at Room 244, Queen Anne's Mansions, where the Liaison Officers
will be glad to assist or advise them.
No fees are charged ; and efforts are made to ensure that only those forms of
employment are recommended which are suitable for Officers.
Officers, whether on the active or retired list, are asked to assist the com-
mittee by notifying to the Secretary (at the above address) any prospects which
may come to their notice of employment for which retired Officers might be
suitable.
W.R.N.S. BENEVOLENT FUND
Patron : H.M. The Queen.
President : H.R.H. The Duchess of Kent.
Chairman : Director W.R.N.S. Vice-Chair man : Deputy Director W.R.N.S.
Governors : Superintendents, The Nore, Plymouth, Portsmouth, Rosyth,
Western Approaches and Personnel.
Object. To provide relief in cases of necessity and distress amongst those who
have served or are serving in the Women's Royal Naval Service, constituted
in 1939.
Management. The general management is in the hands of a Central Committee
and Command Committees, representing both W.R.N.S. Officers and Ratings.
Funds. Serving Wrens are asked to make an annual subscription of a day's pay
and ex- Wrens of 2/-. Donors of not less than £5 are eligible for election as
Vice-Presidents, elected Vice-Presidents make an annual donation of one
guinea while they remain in office.

Queen Alexandra's Royal Naval Nursing Service
Benevolent Fund
OBJECTS : — To afford assistance to distressed members of the Q.A.R.N.N.S.
or their dependants.
SUBSCRIPTION : — Two shillings a month payable quarterly. Members on
the Active List of Queen Alexandra's Royal Naval Nursing Service or who have
been recalled for service in war or emergency, and Laundry Superintendents,
may alone become subscribers to the Fund, but those who have subscribed to
it while on the Active List may continue membership after retirement or
resignation, payment of further subscriptions being then optional.
MANAGEMENT: — Three Trustees, namely the Medical Director - General
(President), the Deputy Medical Director-General and the Matron-in-Chief,
Q.A.R.N.N.S., three Directors to be elected annually from subscribers to the
Fund, and the Hon. Secretary and Treasurer. Any three or more to constitute
a Court of Directors.
ASSISTANCE: — At meetings to be held in April and October the Court of
Directors will make grants at their discretion to eligible applicants.
