Medals awarded to R.N. Ofl&cers prior to May, 1936, were awarded
to the Cadet who, during his period of training, exhibited
the most gentlemanlike bearing and good influence
among the Cadets. Medals awarded to R.N. Ofi&cers
[KM] . -^ in May, 1936, and subsequently, are awarded to the
Cadet who obtains the highest place in the grand aggre-
gate of marks in the Passiug-out Examination at the
Royal Naval College, Dartmouth.
From May, 1936, the symbol [KM] also implies, in the case of R.N.
Officers, the receipt of the Robert Roxburgh Prize.
