The following are the objects of the Association : —
1st. To find employment for, and to make temporary grants to the Wives, Families, Widows, Orphans,
and other dependants of Sailors, Soldiers, and Airmen, both while serving and after leaving the Service.
2nd. The Officers' Branch (instituted 1886) and the Royal Homes for Officers' Widows and Daughters
(instituted 1899).
(o) To provide imf-umished Apartments, rent free, subject to certain limitations as to age and
income, for the Widows and unmarried daughters of deceased Commissioned Of&cers.
(^) To aid with grants, as fimds admit, the necessitous Widows and unmarried Daughters of
deceased Commissioned Officers ; to help Officers' children by obtaining their admission into schools.
8rd. The Nursing Branch (instituted 1892).
To supply qualified District Nurses to attend the Families of Service Men at important Naval,
Military and Air Force Stations, as well as to give instruction in matters of Health and Hygiene.
4th. The Clothing Branch (instituted 1895).
To supply suitable clothing at home and abroad to the wives and families of serving and ex-service
men.

SEAMEN'S HOSPITAL SOCIETY
"DREADNOUGHT"
INCORPORATED BY ACT OF PARLIAMENT.

No sick sailor is ever refused admission to the Society's Establishments, viz. : — Dreadnought
Hospital, Greenwich, S.E.IO, Albert Dock Hospital, E.16, Tilbury Dock Hospital, Hospital for Tropical
Diseases, W.C.I, King George's Sanatorium for Sailors, Liphook, Hants, Angas Convadesoent Home,
Cudham, Kent.
The Merchant Seaman is dependent upon the Society for help in time of illness or accident.
Many patients have seen service in the Royal Navy.
The Officers of the Senior Service have always given generous support to the " Dreadnought." A
list of Officers and Ships who contribute will be forwarded on application to the Secretary, " Dreadnought, "
Greenwich, S.E.IO.
The Committee earnestly appeal for new subscribers and lor collections to meet the annual eoct of
malntenanc; which exceeds £90,000.
