The following are the objeots of the Association : —
1st. To find employment for, and to make temporary grants to the Wives,
Families, Widows, Orphans, and other dependants of Sailors, Soldiers, and Airmen,
both while serving and after leaving the Service.
2nd. The Officere' Branch (instituted 1886) and the Royal Homes for Officers'
Widows and Daughters (instituted 1899),
(a) To provide unfurnished Apartments, rent free, subject to certain limita-
tions as to age and income, for the Widows and unmarried daughters of deceased
Commissioned Officers.
(b) To aid with grants, as funds admit, the neoessitons Widows and un-
married Daughters of deceased Commissioned Officers ; the help Offioera'
children by obtaning their admission into schools,
3rd. The Nursing Branch (instituted 1892).
To supply qualified District Nurses to attend the Families of Service Men at
important Naval, Military and Air Force Stations, as well as to give instruction
in matters of Health and Hygiene.
4th. The Clothing Branch (instituted 1895).
To supply suitable clothing at home and abroad to the wives and families of
serving and ex-service Men.

No sick sailor is ever refused admission to the Society's Establishments, viz. : —
Dreadnought Hopital, Greenwich, S.E.IO, Albert Dock Hospital, E.16, Tilbory Dock
Hospital, Hospital for Tropical Diseases, W.C.I, King Georges Sanatorium for Sailors
Liphook, Hants., Angas Convalescent Home, Cudham, Kent.
The Merchant Seaman is dependent upon the Society for help in timeof illness or
accident.
Many patients have seen service in the Royal Navy.
The Officers of the Senior Service have always given generous support to the
" Dreadnought." A list of Officers and Ships who contribute will be forwarded on
application to the Secretary, " Dreadnought," Greenwich, S.E.IO.
The Committee earnestly appeal for new subsoribers and for colleotions to meet
the annual cost of maintenance which eaoeeds £90.000.
