COLONIAL COURT OF ADMIRALTY.
By the Act 53 & 54 Vict. c. 27, which, save as therein provided, came into operation generally on the
1st July, 1891, all the Vice-Admiralty Courts in British Possessions abroad were abolished and Admiralty
jurisdiction was given to every Court of Law in a British Possession v.'hich should for the time being be
declared in pursuance of the Act to be a Court of Admiralty, or which, in the absence of any such declaration
should have original unlimited civil jurisdiction therein.
