Pensions that may be granted for Specific Injuries.
Specific Injury.
Loss of two or mor« limbs
Loss of an arm and an eye.

Note.— In the case of left-handed men, certified to
be such, the compensation in respectof the left arm,
hand, &c, will be. as for a right arm, hand, &c , and
vice versa.

The allowance for Petty Time is given, in addition
to the above rates, and is doubled in the case of
Continuous Service men, after 15 years' service
under the conditions applicable in the case of Long
Service Pensions.
The allowances for Badges and Medal are also
given, as in the case of Long Service Pensions.
General Rules as to Pensions.
All Pensions are granted during good behaviour,
and may be forfeited by misconduct on the part of
the pensioner to he judged of by the Admiralty, or,
in the case of Disablement or Injury Pensions, by
the Minister of Pensions.
All Pensioners (not discharged as wholly In-
capable) under 55 years of age may be called on
to serve in time of war or emergency.
Men are not allowed their Pensions for any period
during which they serve under a Foreign Flag or re-
side out of His Majesty's dominions, except wltb
the special permission of the Admiralty.
Men discharged the service for Misconduct forfeit
all claims to pension, and men whose general
character has not been good can be awarded reduced
pensions.
Commutation of Pensions Is not allowed.
In all cases of injuries gratuities may be given
in lieu of Disablement Pensions, or in addition
to Service Pensions, at the discretion of the Minister
of Pensions.
