NAVAL UNIFORMS.
Medals or ribbons are to be worn on the left breast,
placed in a line IJ inches below the point of the
ishoulder. The upper edge of the cloth foundation is to
he placed Ij inches from point of shoulder ; the ribbons
will then be 2 inches from point of shoulder.
are to be worn "obverse" out-wards, com-
mencing with the end furthest from the shoulder :—
(a) British decorations in o-der of seniority. (See
Article 167 of the Kiug's Regulations, 1913.)
(6) British medals as directed in Arrjcle IfiT of the
King's Regulations, 1913, with war medals in order
of date.
(c) Foreign decorations in order of date.
(d) Foreign medals in order of date.
The Long Se'vice and Good Conluct medals and the
medal for Good Hhootiog come after all war medals.
Medals awarded by a society for bravery in saving
human life, if specially auihoiised to be worn, are to be
worn on ' he right breast, similarly to those on the left,
and on the same horizontal line.

WARD ROOM OFFICERS' SERVANTS

Each Private R M.L.l. embarked for duty as Ward
Room Officers' Sor%'arit will he pTvided, under the Con-
di inns laid down in Article 11T9 King's Regulation sand
Admiral y Instructions, wiih an annual gratuitous out-
fit consisting of :—
1 Can with peak.
1 Plain sergf suit
3 Fine wh'te Duck Tunics with jean collars
and cuffs
2 Collars and Fronts combined.
1 Black necktie.
3 paiiB white cottoD gloves.
The serge suit and cap will be worn on occsione
wht-n the '-rdinary It.M. Uniform is not suitable. Corps
Umfor Ti will be worn on other occasions except when
atiei ding ai Mess, for which purpose the Fine White
Duck Tunics are provided.
REGULATIONS FOR CLOTHES AND TOOL CHEATS
AFLOAT.
The following ratings alone are allowed by Regulation
to have a clothes chest :—
Chief Petty Officers.
Officers' Stewards or Oookn, 1st Class.
Confirmed Sergeants of Marines.
They are to be of the following dimensions —
3 ft. 2 ins. in length.
1 ft. 10 ins. in breadth.
1 ft. 10 ins. in depth.
The chests are to be fitted with one long and two short
drawers, with locks ai d keys.
♦ Tool chests for Shipwrights and others allowed tool
money, are to be of the same dimensions as above.
When there is accommodation available, other ratings
than those mentioned above, who wear long cloth jackets
and peak caps, may have a small chest with one drawer ,
of the following dimensions :—
a ft. ins. in length.
1 ft. 8 ins. in breadth.
1 ft. 2 ins. in depth.
* On exhaustion of the stock of the present pat-
tern Tool Chests, the dimensions of the Service
pattern will be as follows ;—
3 ft. 2 Ins. In length.
1 ft. 6 ins. In breadth,
1 ft. 6 ins. in depth.
