B. Officers on the Peiinaoent or Temporary Combatant Lists of the Reserves, or on the
Temporary Lists of the Royal Navy or Royal Marines, to be awarded pensions or gratuities as

A Gratuity

* If the Officer is under 25 years of age at the time of award the amount granted to he paid as a
whole, or in such instalments as the Admiralty may decide.
C. Non-Combatant Officers, Commissioned Warrant Officers, and Warrant Officers, ou the
Permanent or Temporary Lists of the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, or Reserves, to he granted
pensions or gratuities under Regulations to be laid down subsequently.
D. The above provisions to be applicable onlv to cases of ill-health, wounds, etc., arising out
of the present Hostilities, and in which the awards thereunder will be more advantageous to
the recipients than under other regulations authorizing similar awards. Awards already made
to be re-assessed accordingly, with effect as from the 1st March, 1915.
RETIRED PAY.
1. The Scale of Retired Pay, according to age and service, to be as follows, for
Flag Officers, Captains, Commanders, Lieutenant-Commaoders, and Lieutenants.
An addition to be made, as specified, for each full year of additional Service, or its
equivalent, but the same not to exceed 5 years ; and a deduction to be made for
each full year wanting to complete the periods specified, but the same not to
exceed 10 years : —
