CONVEYANCE OF TREASURE
CONVEYANCE OF TREASURE.
At the Court at Buckingham Palace,
The 26th day of October, 1914.
Present :
The KING'S Most Excellent Majesty in Council.
Whereas there was this day road at the Board
a Memorial from 'he Right Honourable the Lorrts
Commissioners of the Admiralty, dated the 17th
day of October, 1914, in the words following, viz. :—
" Whereas by Order in Council, dated the 10th
day of August, 1888, approval was given to
the terms of the Proclamation annexed thereto
respecting the conveyance of Public and Private
Treasure:
"And whereas we consider it desirable that
the system of payment for the conveyance of
treasure in Your Majesty's Ships therein pre-
scribed should be terminated:
"We beg leave humblv to recommend tha*
Your Majesty may be graciously pleased, by
Your Order in Council, to annul the aforesaid
Order in Council of the 10th day of August, 1888,
aad the Proclamation annexed thereto."
His Majesty, having taken the said Memoria
into consideration, was pleased, by and with the
advice of His Privy Council to approve of wbat^
is therein proposed. And the Eight Honourable
the Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty are to
give the necessary directions herein accordingly.
