ABBREVIATIONS, &c xi
NOTES. — (I) The names of Officers of the Royal Navy who are employed, in the Royal
Naval Air Service are indicated in italics on the list of their rank in
the Royal Navy in order to indicate that their Naval rank is in
abeyance.
(II) The figures preceding each name in the Alphabetical List of Active
Officers, denote the number of the Ship in which the Officer is serving.

The complete series at the National Library of Scotland runs from August 1870 to June 1940, but does not include monthly lists for those months covered by quarterly lists. |
