COLONIAL COURTS OF ADMIRALTY.
By the Act 53 k 54 Vict., e. 27, which, save as therein provided, came into operation generally
on the 1st July 1891, all the Vice- Admiralty Courts in British Possessions abroad were abolished, I
and Admiralty jurisdiction was given to every Court of law in a British Possession which should!
for the time being be declared in pursuance of the Act to be a Court of Admiralty, or which, in 1
the absence of any such declaration, should have original unlimited civil jurisdiction therein.
CONSULAR COURTS (with Slave Trade Jurisdiction).

Description | These lists covering 1913, 1914, 1918, 1919, 1920, 1939 and 1940 were produced monthly. From mid-1870 to March 1924 navy lists were released both quarterly and monthly. The complete series at the National Library of Scotland runs from August 1870 to June 1940, but does not include monthly lists for those months covered by quarterly lists. |
