2nd BattaUon. — Gules (crimson) : In the centre the Thistle and the Red and White Roses conjoined,
Issuant from the same stalk all proper, ensigned with the Imperial Crown. Motto, " Unita Fortior " ; iu
base the Sphinx superscribed " Egypt " ; in the dexter canton the Union.
The Regimental Colours : —
