ments manufactured by G. Besson and Antoine Courtois. I can recommend them as pos¬
sessing the utmost purity of tone, and correct intonation. The instruments are elegant in

Gentlemen,—I received, last night, the Besson’s Cornetto which you sent me, and it
gives me great pleasure to inform you that, as far as my knowledge permits, I find it perfect
in every respect, both for brilliancv ' tone and superior style of finish ; indeed, I did not
expect otherwise, after the opportunity I have had, during my stay in London, of examining
your stock of Besson’s and Oburtois' Brass Instruments, which I can safely pronounce the
best in Great Britain.—I remain, Gentlemtn, your most obedient servant,
