1 General the Honourable Edward P. Lygon served in the Peninsula with the 2nd Life Guards, from
Nov. 1812 to the end of that war in 1814, including the battle of Vittoriu, for which he has received the
War Medal with one clasp. Served also the campaign of 1815, and was present at tho battle of Waterloo.

8 Captains Gaussen, Prettejohn, and Barrett, Lieutenants English, Ling, Mayne, and Blyth, served
throughout the Punjaub campaign of 1848-9, including the action of Ramnuggur [with the charging
squadrons), passage of the Chenab, battles of ChiTlianwallah and Goojerat, pursuit of the enemy across
the Jlielum, and of the Attghans over (be Indus through the Kiiyher Pass (Medal aud Clasps).
9 Capt. Gall served with the 14th Lt. Drs. throughout the Punjaub campaign of 1848-9, including the
action of Ramnuggur (with tire charging squadrons), battles of Chillianwailah and Goojerat, (Medal and
Clasps). He received a severe sabre wound at Ramnuggnr in an effort to seize one of the enemy’s standards.
10 Lieuts. Dudgeon and Gordon served in the Punjaub campaign of 1848-9, including the battles of
Chillianwaliah and Gonjerat, pursuit of the enemy ecross the Jheluni, and of the Aflglians over the Indus
through the Khyber Pass (Medal and Clasps).
11 Captain Chatnbre served the campaign of 1344.45 in the southern Mahrutta country, and was pre¬
sent at the irvestment and capture of the Forts of Panulla and Pownghur. During the Punjaub
campaign of 1848-49, he served with the Depot at Lahore, and has received the Punjaub Medal.
12 Captain Thompson served with the 7th Dragoon Guards against the Insurgent Boers in South Africa in
1845; and likewise in the Kaffir War of 1846-7.
13 Capt. M’Mahon served in the Punjaub campaign of 1848-9: at tiie first siege of Mooltan, includin'*
the attack on the enemy’s position in front of the advanced trenches, 12 Sept. 1843; witli the charging
squadrons of the 14th Lt. Dragoons at Rainnuggur (very severely wounded), and at the battles of Chillhm-
wallah and Goojerat; was also present at the surrender of the Seikh army at Rawul Pindee, aitd pursuit of
the Alfghans to Peshawur (Medal and Clasps).
IS* Lieut. Need served the Punjaub campaign of 1848-9 as Aido-de-Camp to General Whish, and was
present during tho whole of the siege operations against and captuie of Mooitan; after which lie was at
tire battle of Goojerat (Medal and Clasps).
14 Lieut. Reader served in the pursuit of the enemy across the Indus in 1849 (Medal).
16 Surgeon Stewart served with the 9th Lancers in the campaign on the Sutlej in 1840, and was present at
the battle of Sobraon (Medal). He served with the 14th Lt. Drs. throughout the Punjaub campaign of
1848-9, including the battles of Ramnuggur, Cliillianwallah, and Goojerat (Medal and Clasps).
17 Assist.-Surgeon Wigstrom served with the 14th Lt. Drs. throughout the Punjaub campaign of 1848-9
including the battles of Ramnuggur, Chillianwallah, and Goojerat (Medal and Clasps).
18 Assist.-Surgeon Fasson served with the 53rd in the campaign on tho Sutlej, and was present at Buddi-
wal and Aliwal (Medal). He served with the 14th Lt. Drs. throughout the Punjaub campaigu of 1848-9 -,n-
cluding the battles of Ramuuggur, ChiUianwallab, and Goojerat (Medal and Clasps).
