^-tugal under the Duke of Wellington, including the battles of Roleia and Vimiera; and subsequently on Sir
•3 John Moore's expedition to Spain, including the affairs with the French cavalry at Sahagun and Benevente,
■g retreat to Corunna, and battle of Corunna. He was afterwards attached to the Portuguese army, and received !
Eflve wounds in action with the enemy on the 18th Feb. 1811. He was also attached for five months to a i
^division of the Spanish army in Estramadura under General Mendizabel. Sir John has received the War
o Medal with three clasps, for Roleia, Yimiera, and Corunna.
