1 Colonel MacGregor served with the Army, in the Mediterranean, from 1794 to 1797 inclusive. Served
the campaigns of 1809,10, 11, and 12, in the Peninsula.
2 Colonel Faunce served in Holland in 1799, and was present at the actions of the 2nd and 6th Oct.' In
1805 accompanied the army to Hanover. In 1807 served in Zealand, and was at the siege and capture of
Copenhagen. In 1808 served With the army under Sir John Moore, first at Gottenburgh, and afterwards
throughout the operations in Portugal and Spain. In 1809 served with the army in the Scheldt. Served
in the Peninsula from Nov. 1810 to Feb. 1818, including the storm and capture of Badajoz (wounded in the
thigh), and battle of Salamanca. Served also in the American war, including the battle of Bladensburgh
and capture of Washington, action near Baltimore, and operations before New Orleans in 1814 and 15; se¬
verely wounded 8th Jan. 1815. Medal for Salamanca.
3 Colonel Ewart accompanied the Expedition to Copenhagen in 1807. Served in the Peninsula in 1808
and 9 under Sir John Moore, and was wounded at Vimiera. Accompanied Expedition to the Scheldt. Served
with the Light Division in the Peninsula from March 1811 to December 1812, including the battles of Fuentes
d’Onor, and Salamanca; and the sieges of Ciudad Rodrigo, and Badajoz (wounded). Served in the West
Indies from 1818 to 1816 inclusive, and was at the capture of Guadaloupe. Served in the East Indies, from
March 1819 to February 1823, and was employed as a Brigadier at the siege of Asseerghur.
4 Col. Campbell served in the Peninsula, and has received a medal and one clasp for Orthes and Toulouse.
5 Col. Fleming served the Egyptian compaign of 1807 ; in the Peninsula from 1808 to 1811, including the
battles of Talavera and Albuhera (wounded). Served also in the American war.
6 Col. Pitt served at the capture of the Danish West India islands in 1807; and of Martinique in 1809.
Served also in the Peninsula from Jan. 1811 to Jan. 1814, including the battle of Albuhera; actions at
Usagre and Almarez ; siege of Badajoz ; battles of Vittoria, Pampeluna, and the Pyrenees.
