11 Capt. Blacklin, previ¬
ously to entering the regu¬
lar army, was an Ensign in
the West York Militia, from
which he volunteered to
serve in the expedition to
Flanders, and was soon af¬
ter gazetted to an Ensigney
in the 3rd Battalion Royals,
having been present in the
actions of the 16th, 17th,
and 18th June, at Waterloo,
where he was wounded. He
afterwards embarked for
the East Indies, and joined
the army of Sir Thomas
Hislop in the Deccan, with
which he served the cam¬
paigns of 1817, 18, and 19,
and was present with the
force under Sir John Dove-
ton at the siege, and com¬
manded the leading com*
pany at the storming of
Asseerghur in 1819. Also
served with the 1st Bat¬
talion in the West Indies.
12 Cai>t. Nicholson was
present in the actions of
the Nivelie, Nive, Orthes,
and Toulouse, and served
the campaign in Ava, in¬
cluding the engagements of
the 20th, 25tb, and 26th
Nov. 1825.
13 Capt. Sampson served the campaign in
Tuscany, and was in the action before Genoa,
and at the capture of that city in 1814. Served
in the expedition to the Chesapeak, and was
in the action of Bladensburgh, and at the cap¬
ture of Washington, 24th Aug. 1814. Present
in the action before Baltimore Sept. 1814.
Served iu’Florida, and was in the action before
New Orleans 8th Jan. 1816.
14 Lieut. Richardson served in the Burmese
15 Lieut. Ormsby served in the Burmese war
from Sept. 1824 to Jan. 1826, and was present
at the siege and capture of Aracan, and in the
Talack expedition. Mentioned in Col. We-
therall's despatch for distinguished gallantry
in action with the rebels at St. Eustache and
St. Benoit, in Canada, 14th Dec. 1837*
16 Quarter-Master, 14th Dec. 1826, from
which date the period of service has been com-
puted.
17 Paymaster Milchell accompanied his regi¬
ment to the Cape of Good Hope, Montevideo,
Portugal, Spain, Sicily, Holland, Flanders,
and Waterloo.
