1 Colonel Browne served in Rajpootana during
the rebellion from May 1857 t0 October 1858; was
present at the siege and capture of the fortified
town of Nimbhaira, commanded the Flank Com¬
panies of the 12th Bombay Native Infantry, and
was also Line Adjutant at the defence of Neemuch.
Present at the siege and capture of Kotah (Medal
with Clasp).
3 Major A. Schmid served in the Schleswig-
Holstein Army during the first Danish war, and
took part in the campaigns of 1848-50,being present
at most of the actions, and has received the Schles¬
wig-Holstein decoration.
15 Quarter Master Elson served in the Indian
mutiny campaign, including the capture of Rat-
ghur, action of Barodia, relief of Saugor, capture
of Garrakota, forcing of the Muddenpore Pass,
siege and storm of Jhansi, and battle of the Betwa
(Medal with Clasp).

4 Lt.Colonel Brooke landed with the 48th Regiment in the Crimea on the 21st April 1855, and served at the siege
and fall of Sebastopol (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal). Served throughout the campaign of i860 in China,
as Aide de Camp to Sir Robert Napier, and was present at the actions of Sinho and Tangku, the assault of the
Taku Forts (severely wounded), and the final advance on and surrender of Pekin (Brevet of Major, Medal with
two Clasps).
5 Major Bartholomew commanded a mounted Detachment of the 10th Regiment during the operations against
the rebels in the Shahabad district, from 9th Oct. 1858 to 4th Jan. 1859, and was several times engaged (men¬
tioned in despatches, Medal) Served in the Abyssinian Expedition in 1868 (Medal).
9 Captain Forbes served with the expedition to Shugra in Arabia in 1866.
10 Captain Harden served with the 101st Fusiliers in the Indian N.W. Frontier war of 1863, and was present at
the attack and capture of the Crag Piquet, the Conical Hill, and Umbeyla (Medal with Clasp).
11 Captain Mordaunt served in Arabia in 1865-66, and was present at the action of Bir Said and subsequent opera¬
tions, including the expedition to Shugra.
12 Captain Mackinnon served in the Abyssinian campaign in 1868 as a Sub Assistant Commissary General (Medal).
13 Lieut. Campbell served in Arabia in 1865-66, and was present at the action of Bir Said and subsequent opera¬
tions in the interior.
