1 Lieut. General Crombie embarked in February 1854 with the Coldstream Guards for Turkey, and served in Bulgaria.
Continuation of Notes to 95th Regiment.
11 Captain J. R. Pearson was present at the mutiny of the late 6th Bengal Native Infantry at Allahabad on the
6th June 1857, and served throughout the Indian mutiny campaign; was present with Havelock’s force throughout
its operations, including the retaking of the city and cantonments of Allahabad, actions of Futtehpore, Aoung, Pandoo
Nuddee, Cawnpore, Oonao, Busseerutgunge (both actions), Boorbeeke Chowkee, Bithoor, Mungarwar, and Alumbagh
and relief of Lucknow. Was afterwards present at the defeat of the Gwalior Contingent at Cawnpore, re-occupation
of Rohilcund, and pursuit of Ferozeshah (mentioned in despatches, Medal with Clasp, and a year’s service).
14 Lieut. Aldridge served in the Ashanti war, in 1874, in the Transport Service (Medal).
15 Major Fereday served with the Land Transport Corps in the Crimea subsequent to the fall of Sebastopol, from
the 10th November 1855 to the 12th August 1866. Served with the 68th Light Infantry in the New Zealand war in
1864-66 (Medal).
18 Quarter Master Reid served with the 95th Regiment throughout the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including
the battles of Alma and Inkerman, repulse of the sortie of the 26th Oct. 1854, siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal
with three Clasps, and Turkish Medal). Served also the Central India campaign of 1858, including the siege and
capture of Kotah, recapture of Chundaree, action of Kota ke Serai, attack and capture of the town and fortress of
Gwalior, siege and capture of Powree, surprise and defeat of the rebels at Khoondrye (Medal with Clasp). Has
also the Medal for long and meritorious service.
