1 Major Suttie served with the Buffs in the Crimea from the 3rd Sept. 1855, including the siege and fall of'Sebas-
topol (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal). Also the campaign of i860 in China (Medal with Clasp for the Taku
Forts).
3 Major Wadeson served with the 75th Regiment in the Indian campaign of 1857 from the outbreak on 12th May,
including the battle of Budleekeserai, siege operations before Delhi and repulse of sorties on 12th and 15th June, and
of night attacks on the Camp on 19th and 23rd June, and 14th and 18th July, storming (severely wounded) and cap¬
ture of Delhi (Medal with Clasp, and Victoria Cross).
4 Captain Macqueen served with the 43rd Light Infantry in the New Zealand war in 1864-65, including expeditions
in the province of Taranaki, destroying many Pahs and fortified villages (Medal).
6 Major Manning served with the Buffs in the Gwalior campaign, including the battle of Punniar (Bronze Star).
Also in the Crimean campaign from April 1855, including the siege and fall of Sebastopol, the taking of the Quar¬
ries, attack of the Redan on 18th June, and assault of the Redan on 8th September (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish
Medal, and was recommended for distinguished sendees in the Trenches).
