1 Lt. Colonel Travers served the Punjaub cam¬
paign of 1848-49, and was present with the 10th
Regiment during the whole of the siege opera¬
tions before Mooltan, action of Soorjkoond, and
surrender of the Fortress of Mooltan : afterwards
present at the battle of Goojerat (Medal with two
Clasps).
3 Lt.Colonel Lovett landed with the 48th Regi¬
ment in the Crimea on the 21st April 1855 an(i
served at the siege and fall of Sebastopol, and
was on detached duty in the Dockyard from 14th
January to 14th March 1856 (Medal with Clasp,
5th Class of the Medjidie, and Turkish Medal).
0 Major Feneran landed with the 48th Regi¬
ment in the Crimea on the 21st April 1855, and
served at the siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal
with Clasp, and Turkish Medal).

4 Major Fairtlough served in the Crimean campaign from 19th Jan. to 24th May 1855, as Adjutant of the 14th
Regiment, including the siege of Sebastopol (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal). Served also in New Zealand
during the war in 1863-66 (Medal).
5 Major Trent served with the 48th Regiment in the Crimea from 21st April 1855, including the siege and fall of
Sebastopol—wounded on 4th June (Medal with Clasp, 5th Class of the Medjidie, and Turkish Medal).
7 Captain Rawlins served with the 48th Regiment from the 3rd September 1855, including the siege and fall of
Sebastopol (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
9 Captain Sedley served with the 1st Dragoon Guards in the campaign of i860 in China, and was engaged at
Sfnho, present at the fall of the Taku Forts, and engaged in the actions of the 18th and 21st September, also in the
advance on Pekin (Medal with two Clasps).

9 Major Leach served in the 50th Regiment in the New Zealand war of 1863-66 as Orderly Officer to Colonel
Waddy when commanding a Field Force in the Waikato in 1864; present at Waiari; appointed Aide de Camp to
Brigadier General Waddy 7th Jan. 1865; and present at the attack and repulse of the enemy at Nukumaru (men¬
tioned in despatches); appointed Deputy Assistant Adjutant General 26th Jan. 1865, and present at the repulse of
the enemy at Kakaramea (mentioned), and served throughout the campaign Wanganui district under Sir D.
Cameron. Accompanied Major General Chute as D.A. Adjutant General during his campaign on the West Coast
in 1865-66, and present at the assault and capture of Okatuku, Putahi, Otapawa, Keteuari, and Waikoko Pah (men¬
tioned in despatches, Brevet of Major, and Medal).
10 Captain Falkner served in the New Zealand war from 15th Nov. 1863 to 1864, including the capture of Rangia-
whia (Medal).
11 Captain Wilson served in the New Zealand war and was very severely wounded at the repulse of the enemy's
attack on the Camp at Nukumaru on 25th Jan. 1865 (Medal).
12 Captain King served in the New Zealand war of 1863-65, and was present at the action of Rangiawhia and at tho
repulse of the enemy’s attack on the Camp at Nukumaru (Medal).
15 Captain MacGregor served in New Zealand from 24th Dec. 1864 to 1866, and was present at the repulse of the
enemy’s attack on the Camp at Nukumaru, and at the affair of Kakaramea (Medal). Served in the Ashanti war
from the 17th December 1873. an(l was attached to Captain Butler’s command (Medal).
18 Captain Fleury served in the New Zealand war of 1863-65, and was present at the repulse of the enemy’s attack
on the Camp at Nukumaru (Medal).
17 Lieut. Vander Meulen served in the New Zealand war in 1863 (Medal). Served throughout the second phase
of the Ashanti war from the 17th December 1873, employed in the Transport Service, including the battle of
Amoaful, battle of Ordahsu, and capture of Coomassie (Medal with Clasp).
19 Lieut. Taunton served in New Zealand from nth Oct. 1864 to 1866, and was present at the repulse of the
enemy’s attack on the Camp at Nukumaru, the affair of Kakaramea, and the taking of Putahi Pah (Medal).
21 Lieuts. Soote and Bromfield served in New Zealand during General Chute’s campaign of 1866 (Medal).
22 Major Nolan served the Eastern campaign of 1854-55 with the 50th Regiment, including the battles of Alma
an d Inkerman, siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal with three Clasps, and Turkish Medal).
