1 Sir Richard Lluellyn entered the army
as a Captain with temporary rank, in the
52nd Regt., and was present with it at Fer-
rol, Cadiz, and in the Mediterranean, in IbOO
and 1801, and on the conclusion of peace was
placed on half-pay; but on war soon after
breaking out, he relinquished his temporary
commission, and re-entered the service; and
having in Feb. 1805 obtained a Company by
purchase in the 28th Regt., he accompanied
it to the Peninsula in 1809, and was present
at the battle of Busaco, defence of the Lines of
Lisbon, advance on Campo Mayor, invest¬
ment of Olivenga, siege of Badajoz, battle
of Albuhera, surprise and capture of a French
corps at Arroyo tie Molino, attack and capture
of the Forts and Bridge of Almaraz, advance
on Aranjuez and Madrid, occupation of Bor¬
deaux, and other services of minor impor¬
tance. In 1815 he embarked with his regi¬
ment for the Netherlands, where he was per¬
sonally engaged with it in the battles of Quatre Bras and
Waterloo, in the latterof which lie was severely wounded, and
received for his conduct in the field the brevet rank of Lt.-
Colonel and the Companionship of the Bath. He has re¬
ceived the War Medal with two Clasps for Busaco and
Albuhera.
2 Colonel Munro served as Adjutant of the39th Regt. in the
action of Maharajpore, and was severely wounded (Medal).
Commanded the Regt. at the siege and fall of Sebastopol, and
commanded the supports of the 1st Brigade 3rd Division at
the attack on the 18th June 1855 (Medal and Clasp, CB.,
Knight of the Legion of Honor, 4th Class of the Medjidie,
and Turkish Medal).

9 Captains Milligan and Smyth served at the siege and fall of Sebastopol in 1855, and at the attacks on the I8th June
nd 8th Sept. (Medal and Clasps, 5th Class of the Medjidie, and Turkish Medal).
10 Captain Turner served with the 79th Highlanders throughout tire Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the battles
of Alma and Balaklava, siege and fall of Sebastopol, and assault of the 8th September (Medal and three Clasps, and
Turkish Medal). AUo in the Indian campaign and present at the siege and capture of Lucknow in March 1858 (Medal and
