‘62nd (The Cornwall) Regt. of Foot (Light Infantry).
4 Lt.-Col.Lowe served at the first and second siege operations before Mooltan, including the attack on the enemy’s position
in front of the advanced trenches on 12th Sept. 1848, on which occasion he succeeded to the command of the companies of
the 32nd Regt. that were engaged. He was also present at the action of Soorjkoond, storm and capture of the city and
surrender ol thefortress of Mooltan, surreuder of the fort and garrison of Cheniote, and battle of Goojerat (Medal and
Clasps). •
5 Major Hell was present at the battle of Goojerat (Medal and Clasps).
6 Majors Clapcott and Bassano served at the first and second siege operations before Mooltan, including the attack on
the enemy’s position in front of the advanced trenches on 12th Sept. 1848, the action of Soorjkoond, storm and capture of
the city, and surrender of the fortress. Also present at the surrender of the fort and garrison of Cheniote, and at the battle
of Goojerat (Medal and Clasps).
9 Captain J. Bh twliistle and Major Lawrence served at the second siege operations before Mooltan,including
the storm and capture of the city, and surrender of the fortress. Also at the surrender of the fort and
garrison of Cheniote, and battle of Goojerat (Medal and Clasps).
10 Major Foster was in action with the rebel lorce at Chinhut on the 30th Juno 1857, and from that
date engaged in defence of the Residency of Lucknow until its final rebel by Lord Clyde on 24th Nov.,—
was severely wounded during the siege and mentioned in despatches by Sir John Inglis and the Governor
General. He was subsequently engaged in the defeat of the Gwalior rebels at Cawnpore on 6th Dec. 1857.
12 Lieui. Walker served with the 88th Regt. at the siege and fall of Sebastopol from 11th Aug. 1855
(Medal and Clasp).
13 Paymaster Giddings served at the first and second siege operations before Mooltan, including the
action of Soorjikoond, storm and capture of the city, and surrender of the fortress. Also at the surrender
of the fort and garrison of Cheniote and battle of Goojerat (Medal and Clasps).
14 Assist.Surgeon Bradshaw served with the 50th Regt. at the siege and fall of Sebastopol from Nov,
1854 (Medal and Clasp).

9 Major Wickham served at the siege of Sebastopol, and was severely wounded at the attack on the
Redan on the 18th June (Medal and Clasp, and Brevet Major).
10 Captain Fanshawe served at the siege of Sebastopol in 1855, and at the assault on the Redan on the
18th June (Medal and Clasp).
11 Major Vacher served with the 33rd Regt. in the campaign of 1854 until November, when he was
appointed Assistant. Engineer, right attack, and served in the trenches until Feb. 1855, when he was trans¬
ferred to the General Staft', and held the appointment of D. A. Q. M Gen. .«t Head Quarters during the
remainder of the war (Medal and three Clasps, Brevet Major, Knight of the Legion of Honor, and 5th
Class of the Medjidie).
12 Captain Greenwood served with the 33rd Regt. in the Eastern campaign of 1854, and was severely
wounded while carrying the colours at the battle of Alma (Medal and Clasp).
13 Captain Barrett serve t the Eastern campaign of 1854-55 as Adjutant of the 33rd Regt., in' biding the
battles of the Alma and Inkerman, and siege of Sebastopol (Medal and three Clasp.-, and 5th Class of the
Medjidie).
15 Captains Parry and Kenrick served in the Eastern campaign of 1854, including the battle of Inker-
man, and siege of Seba-topol (Medal and Clasps).
16 Captain Wallis carried a colour at the Alma, and allhough severely wounded through the thigh
remained with the Regt. until after the close of the action (Medal and Clasp, and Sardinian Medal).
17 Captain Prescott served at the siege of Sebastopol in 1855, and was severely wounded on the 15th
August (Medal and Clasp).
18 Lieut. Hon. R. H. de Montmorency served at the siege of Sebastopol and at the attack of the
Redan on the 8th Sept. (Medal and Clasp, and Sardinian Medal).
20 Captain Rogers served at the siege of Sebastopol from 13th Nov. 1854 until the fall of the place, and
was present at the assaults on the Redan on the 18th June and 8th Sept. (Medal and Clasp).
21 Captain Owens served the Eastern campaign of 1854, including the battles of Alma and Inkerman
(dangerously wounded), and siege of Sebastopol (twice wounded in the trenches): Medal and Clasps, and
5th Class of the Medjidie.
22 Lieut. Trent served at the siege of Sebastopol, and was wounded at the assault on the Redan on the
8th Sept. 1855 (Medal).
23 Lieut. Willis served at the siege of Sebastopol in 1855, and assaults on the Redan on the 18th June
and 8th Sept.—wounded (Medal and Clasp).
24 Lieuts. Ellis and Ball served at the siege of Sebastopol (Medal and Clasp).
25 Lieut. Johnstone served at the siege of Sebastopol in 1855, and at the assault on the Redan on the
18th June (Medal and Clasp).
26 Paymaster Thompson, Qr.-Master Vyse, and Surgeon Muir, served the Eastern campaign of 1854-55,
including the battles of Alma and Inkerman, and siege of Sebastopol (Medal and two Clasps). Surgeon
Muir is a Knight of the Legion of Honor.
27 Assist. Surgeons Ogilvy and Clark served the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the battles of
Alma and Inkerman, siege of Sebastopol, and assaults on the Redan on the 18th June and 8th Sept.
(Medal and Clasps). Assist. Surgeon Clark has also the Sardinian Medal.
