5t Captain Phillips served the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the battles of Ealaklava (horse
shot) and Inkerman, and siege of Sebastopol (Medal and tiiree Clasps).
6 Major Heneage served the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the battles of Alma, Balaklava, and
Inkerman, siege of Sebastopol, and expedition to Kertch (Medal and four Clasps).
7 Captain Puget served on the expedition to Kertch, and at the siege of Sebastopol (Medal andOiasp).
8 Capt. Clowes served the Eastern campaign of 1854, including the battles of Alma and Balaklava,
affairs of Bulganak and M‘Kenzie's Farm, and siege of Sebastopol: was wounded and taken prisoner, and
horse shot, at the battle of Balaklava (Medal and three Clasps).
9 Captain Penton served with the 3rd Light Dragoons throughout the Sutlej campaign of 1845-6,
and was present at the battles of Moodkee (charger killed), Ferozeshah (charger killed), and Sobraon
(Medal and two Clasps). Also throughout the Punjaub campaign of 1848-49, including the cavalry affair at
Ramnuggur, passage of the Chenab at Wuzeerabad on the 1st December 1848, with the force under Sir
Joseph Thackwell, action of Sadoolapore, and battles of ChiUianwallah and Goojerat (Medal and two
Clasps).
10 Capt. Hodgson was present with the 16th Lancers at the siege and capture of Bhurtpore in 1825-6,and was a volunteer
for the dismounted cavalry storming party (Medal and one Clasp). Also present in the action of Maharajpore in Dec. 1843
(Medal). He served also with the 3rd Light Dragoons in the Sutlej campaign of 1846, and was present at the battle of
Sobraon (Medal). Served throughout the Punjaub campaign of 1848-9, including the affair at Ramnuggur (charger
wounded),the passage of the Chenab at Wuzeerabad on the 1st Dec. 1848, with the force under Sir Joseph Thackwell,
action of Sadoolapore,and battles of Chillianwallah and Goojerat (Medal and two Clasps).
11 Captain Mussenden served the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the battles of Alma, Balaklava,
horse shot), Inkerman, and Tchernaya, affairs of Bulganak and M'Kenzie’s Farm, and siege of Sebastopol
(Medal and four Clasps, and 5th Class of the Medjidie).
12 Captain Wirgman served in the Austrian Cavalry and Staff Corps, and was extra Aide-de-Camp to
Field-Marshal Prince Windisch-gnetz in 1840, 41, and 42. Served in the Crimean campaign of 1855 with
the 10th Hussars, in command of a Troop, and was present at the capture of Tchorgaun, battle of Tcher¬
naya, siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal and Clasp).
14 Surgeon Llewelyn served the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the battles of Alma, Balaklava,
and Inkerman, siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal and four Clasps).
15 Cornet Goldsworthy served with the Volunteer Cavalry with Havelock’s Column in 1857 and was
present at the actions of Oonao and Busseerutgunge, and recapture of Busseerutgunge.
16 Cornet Collier served on the Staff in the Persian campaign of 1857 and was present at the capture of
Bushire and Mohummera.

4 Lt..Colonel Ouvry served the Punjaub campaign of 1848-9 with the 3rd Light Dragoons, and commanded a squadron
at the affair of Ramnuggur (horse shot under him) ; the passage of the Chenab at Wuzeerabad on the 1st Dec. 1848, with
the force under Sir Joseph Thackwell; and at the action of Safloolapore, and battles of Chillianwallah and Goojerat
Medal and two Clasps). Commanded 9th Lancers before Delhi in 1857 until appointed as Aide-de-Camp to Sir A.
Wilson, whom he attended during the assault (received thanks of Governor-General in Council, Brevet Lt.Col., and CB.).
After the fall of Delhi commanded the Cavalry Brigade of the Moveable Column, including actions at Bolundshur,
AUighur, and battle of Agra. Commanded the Force at the action of Kanoj, and the Cavalry at the relief of Lucknow
under Sir Colin Campbell (thanks of Governor-General in Council).
6 Lt.Col. Drysdale served with the 4th Light Dragoons during the campaign in Affghanistan under
Lord Keane, and was present at the siege and capture of Ghnznee (Medal). Served with the 9th Lancers
in the action at Punniar, 29th Dec.43 (Medal); in the Sutlej campaign and buttle of Sobraon in 1846
(Medal); and in the Punjaub campaign of 1348-9, including the passage of the Chenab at Ramnuggur, and
battles of Chillianwallah and Goojerat (Medal and Clasps).
7 Majors Anson and Hamilton served with the 9th Lancers in the battle of Punniar (Medal) ; the campaign on
the Sutlej in 1846, including the battle of Sobraon (Medal); and in the Punjauh campaign of 1843-9, including the
passage of the Chenab at Ramnuggur, and battles of Chillianwallah and Goojerat (Medal and Clasps).
8 Major Steele served in the 98th Regt. with the expedition to the North of China in 1842 (Medal), and was present
at the attack and capture of Chin Kiang Foo, and at the landing before Nankin.
9 Major Coles served with the 4th Light Dragoons in the campaign under Lord Keane in Scinde and Affghanistan in
1838-9, and was present at the taking of Ghuznee ( Medal).
10 Captain Fawcett served the Eastern campaign of 1854-55 with the 50th Regt., including the batllesof
Alma and Inkerman, and siege of Sebastopol (Medal and Clasps).
11 Captain Head served in the campaign on the Sutlej in 1846, and were present at the battle of Sobraon (Medal) ; also
in the Punjauh campaign of 1848-9, including the passage of the Chenab at Ramnuggur, and battles of Chillianwallah
and Goojerat (Medal and Clasps).
12 Captains Ellis and Wilkinson served with the 9th Lancers in the last Punjaub campaign, and were
present in the battles of Chillianwallah ami Goojerat (Medal and Clasps).
14 Lieut. Mills served with the 9th Lancers in the Sutlej campaign of 1845-6, and was present in the battle of Sobraon
(Medal). Also the Punjaub campaign of 1348-9, including the passage of the Chenab, and battles of Chillianwallah and
Goojerat( Medal and Clasps).
15 Lt. Upton served with a detachment of the 1st West India Regiment at the storm and capture of the
strongly-stockaded town of Sabajee on the Gambia, in June 1853.
17 Surgeon Major Franklin served with the 3rd Light Dragoons throughout the campaign of 1842 in
Afghanistan (Medal), and was present at the forcing of the Khyber Pass, storming the heights of Jugdulluck,
action at Tezeen and Huftkotul, occupation of Cabool, and capture of Istaliff. Also the Sutlej campaign
of 1845-6, including the battles of Moodkee and Ferozeshah (Medal and one Clasp).
18 Quarter-Master House served with the 9th Lancers in the battle of Punniar (Medal); the Sutlej cam¬
paign of 1846, including the battle of Sobraon (Medal); and in the Punjaub campaign of 1848-9, including
the passage of the Chenab at Ramnuggur, and battles of Chillianwallah and Goojerat (Medal and Clasps).
