War Services of the Lieutenants.
282 Lieut. Parratt served at Walcheren in 1809; and in the Peninsula from 1811 to the end
of that war in 1814, including the defence of Cadiz, siege of San Sebastian, battle of Nivtlle,
actions at Yic Bigorre and Tarbes, and battles of Orthes and Toulouse. He has received the
War Medal with five Clasps.
283 Lieut. James Parry served in the Peninsula with the 28th and was present at the battles
of Nivelle, Nive, Orthes, and Toulouse, for which he has received the War Medal with four
Clasps. He served also the Waterloo campaign.
284 Lieut. Pattison served in the Peninsula with the 5th Dragoon Guards and was present
at the battles of Salamanca and Toulouse, for which he has received the War Medal with two
Clasps.
285 Lieut. Paxton served in the Peninsula with the 11th Lt. Dragoons and was present at
the battle of Salamanca, for which he has received the War Medal with one Clasp.
286 Lieut. Peddie served in Holland with the 21st in 1813 and 14, and was present at the at¬
tack on Merxem, bombardment of the French fleet at Antwerp, and assault on Bergen-op-Zoom.
287 Lieut. Penfold served in the Peninsula with the 12th Lt. Dragoons, and was present at
the battles of Vittoria, Nivelle, and Nive, for which he has received the War Medal with three
Clasps.
288 Lieut. Pennefather served in the Peninsula with the 77tb, and was present at the sieges
of Ciudad Rodrigo and Badajoz (wounded), for which he has received the War Medal with two
Clasps.

290 Lieut. Pepper served in the Peninsula and was present at the battles of Talavera,
Barrosa, and Toulouse, for which he has received the War Medal with three Clasps.
292 Lieut. Petre served the Waterloo campaign with the 6th Dragoons.
293 Lieut. R. J. Phillips served in the Peninsula with the 27th and was present at the siege
of Badajoz (severely wounded at the assault), for which he has received the War Medal with
one Clasp.
294 Lieut. Philpot served the campaign of 1815, and was present at the battle of Waterloo.
295 Lieut. Pickard served the campaign of 1814 in Lower Canada, under Sir George Prevost,
and was present at the attack on Plattsburg. Served also the campaign of 1815 in Upper
Canada under Sir Gordon Drummond.
296 Lieut. Pickring served in the Peninsula and w'as present at the battle of Corunna and
siege of Badajoz, for which he has received the War Medal with two Clasps.
297 Lieut. A. J. Pictet served in the Burmese war with the Royals, and was present at the
taking of Donabew.
299 Lieut. Poe served in the Peninsula with the 39th and was present at the battles of
Albubera, Vittoria, and Pyrenees, for which he has received the War Medal with three Clasps.
300 Lieut. Polhill served the Waterloo campaign with the 16th Lt. Dragoons.
301 Lieut Poole served in the Peninsula with the 88th and was present at the battles of
Fuentes d’Onor, Nivelle, Nive, Orthes, and Toulouse, for which he has received the War Medal
with five Clasps.
302 Lieut. Pratt served with the 25th at the capture of Guadaloupe in 1810, for which he
has received the War Medal with one Clasp.
303 Lieut. Pridham served in Egypt in 1801, and has received the Egyptian modal.
304 Lieut. Priest served in Portugal and Spain in 1808 and 9, and was present at the battle of
Corunna, for which he has received the War Medal with one Clasp.
305 Lieut. Ragg served the campaigns of 1793, 94, and 95 in Flanders, and that of 1799, in
Holland; present at the following actions and sieges, viz. St. Amand, Famars, Valeneiennes,
Lincelles, Dunkirk, Lannoy, Vaux, Gateau, Robaix, Moveaux, Tournay, Helder, Zuyp, Wal-
menhuysen, and Bergen.
306 Lieut. Ratcliff served in the Peninsula and was present at the battle of Corunna, for
which he has received the War Medal with one Clasp.
307 Lieut. Robert Read served in the Peninsula with the 38th and was present at the siege
of Badajoz (severely wounded at the assault), for which he has received the War Medal with
cne Clasp.
308 Lieut. Reid served at Corunna, and also at Walcheren, in 1809; in the Peninsula in 1813
and 14; also the campaign of 1815, including the battle of Waterloo where he was wounded.
He has received the War Medal with one Clasp for Corunna.
309 Lieut. Reynett served in the Peninsula with the 45th and was present at the battle of
Vittoria, for which he has received the War Medal with one Clasp.
310 Lieut. Reynolds served the campaigns of 1813, 14, and 15, in Germany, Holland, and the
Netherlands, including the action of Goerde, attack upon Merxem, defence of Fort Frederick
Henry against the French Fleet, battle of Quatre Bias, retreat on the following day, and battle
of Waterloo (severely wounded by a cannon shot in the left thigh. In 1818 he served the cam¬
paign in the interior of Ceylon, and commanded a small Division, a detachment of which cap¬
tured Madugalla one of the three Chiefs.
311 Sir John Ribton served in the Peninsula with the Rifle Brigade and was present at the
battles of the Pyrenees, Ntve, Orthes, and Toulouse, for which he has received the War Medal
with four Clasps.
