1 Sir H. S. Keating served in the West Indies, and was severely wounded and detained as a prisoner
at Guadaloupe. In conjunction with Commodore Rowley, he planned and conducted the operations of a
gallant and successful attack upon the town and harbour of St. Paul’s in the island of Bourbon.
2 Col. Peddie’s services:—Battles of Roleia, Vimiera, and Corunna. Expedition to Walcheren. Cam¬
paign of 1812 in the Peninsula, including the battle of Salamanca, where he was severely wounded and lost
his right arm.
3 Major Singleton served in the Peninsula, from 1811 to 1813, and was slightly wounded at the siege of
the forts at Salamanca, and twice severely wounded at the battle of Salamanca.
