1 Sir Wm. Henry Pringle has received a Cross for Salamanca, Pyrenees, Nivelle, and Nive, and was se¬
verely wounded in France, Feb. 1814.
2 Col. Boys served in the Peninsula from 1809 to 1811, and again from 1813 to the end of the war, includ¬
ing the action at Sabugal, and battles of Fuentes d’Onor (wounded), Orthes, and Toulouse (wounded).
Served also in the Burmese war.
3 Major Stack’s services: Campaign and battle of Corunna. Actions in the Bay of Bengal in Nov. 1809,
between the French frigates La Venus, La Manche, and Creole sloop-of-war, and the Hon. Company’s ships
Wyndham, United Kingdom, and Charlton., for his conduct on which occasion he received a gratuity from
the Hon. Company. Capture of the Isle of France in 1810. Capture of Java in 1811, including the actions
of the 10th, and 22nd ; storming of Fort Cornelius, 26th Aug. (wounded); and storming of the Heights of
Serondole, Sept. 1811. Relinquished the command of Amboynese corps at Samarang to go on service with
his Regt. (the 14th), and was present at the capture of the piratical defences at Sambas, on the island of
Borneo, July, 1813. Capture of the Fort of Hattrass. Mahratta campaigns of 1817 and 18. Wounded at
the storming of Bhurtpore, 18th January, 1826. Served 28 years in the East Indies, without once returning
to England during that long period.
4 Capt. Butler served in the Kandian campaigns of 1817 and 18, and was personally engaged, on various
occasions, in affairs with the enemy.
5 Captains Macintire and Lascelles served in the Burmese war in 1825.
0 Lieut. Prendergast served throughout the Burmese war, including the taking of Prome, storming the
enemy’s works on the 1st, 2nd, and 5th Dec. 1825, and 19th Jan. 26, battle of Pagam-Mew, &c.
