7 Captain Baxter served in
the Peninsula from July, 1811,
to January, 1813, including the
siege of the Forts at, and bat¬
tle of Salamanca, where he was
wounded; served also in the
South of France in 1814.
8 Major Waymouth served
in the Peninsula with the 2nd
Life Guards; was severely
wounded and taken prisoner
(reported “ supposed to be
killed”) at Waterloo, in charg¬
ing the Cuirassiers. The ef¬
fects of this wound were so
severe that he was a year
upon crutches in a state of
excessive suffering, and it was six years
before he could put on a boot. Ho was conse¬
quently compelled to make the sacrifice of his
professional prospects by an exchange to half¬
pay when his name stood first for promotion by
purchase.
9 Quarter-Master Ward served in the Penin¬
sula from March, 1809, to June, 1813, including
the siege of Cadiz, battle of Fuentes d’Onor,
siege of Badajoz ; and affair at Villa Murial;
served also in the Netherlands.

1 Sir Thomas Bradford was present at the siege of Monte Video, and attack on Buenos Ayres. He has
received a cross and one clasp for Corunna, Salamanca, Vittoria, St. Sebastian, and the passage of the Nive.
2 Colonel Robinson served in the Peninsula from June, 1809, to October, 1813, including the battles of
Talavera, Busaco ; lines at Torres Vedras ; pursuit of Massena ; siege of Ciudad Rodrigo; siege and storming
of Badajoz (shot through the left arm at the assault 6th April, 1812); battle of Salamanca; retreat from
Madrid ; battles of Vittoria and the Pyrenees, (severely wounded, left leg fractured) 28th July, 1813.
3 Major Ormond’s services ;—Expedition to Copenhagen in 1801 ; Canadian campaigns of 1812, 18, and
14, including the battles of Fort George, Stoney Creek, and Chrystler’s Farm.
4 Major Tongue commanded the left wing of the 30th Regiment at the siege of Asseerghur.
5 Major Procter’s services :—Expedition to Copenhagen in 1807; Corunna campaign ; Peninsula from
1812 until 1814 ; served also in the American War.
6 Captain Poyntz served in Portugal as a volunteer from February to November, 1811, including the sortie
of the French from Almissa, and subsequent skirmish at Barber del Puesco, and battle at Fuentes d’Onor.
