1 Lord Ludlow served in the American war, and was made prisoner at York Town. In 1793 he joined
the army in Flanders, and served in the different actions of tiiat and the following campaign until wounded,
the 17th May, 1794, near Roubaix, when, having lost his left arm, he returned to England. Lord L. accom¬
panied Sir James Pulteney to the Ferro!, took part in the Egyptian campaign in 1801; commanded a divi¬
sion in the expedition to Hanover in 1805; and was present at the capture of Copenhagen in 1807.
2 Col. Aitchison accompanied the expedition to Copenhagen in 1807. In 1808 proceeded with the army
under Sir Arthur Wellesley to the Peninsula, and was present at the passage of the Douro, taking of
Oporto, and subsequent pursuit of Soult’s army. At Talavera he was wounded in the arm while carrying
the King’s colour, which was also shot through. He served in the campaigns of 1810, 12, 13, and 14, and
was present at Busaco, Salamanca, capture of Madrid, siege of Burgos, battle of Vittoria, siege of San
Sebastian, St. Jean de Luz, passage of the Adour, battle of the Nive, investment of and sortie from Bayonne.
4 Colonel Scott proceeded to the Peninsula in 1808, and was present at the passage of the Douro, capture
of Oporto, and subsequent retreat of Soult’s army. Wounded through the body at Talavera, and being left
there in hospital, was made prisoner by the enemy.
5 Colonel Wm. Drummond served in the Peninsula from 1809 to 1812, including the battles of Busaco,
and Fuentes d'Onor, the retreat to the lines of Torres Vedras, and subsequent advance from thence. Served
also the campaign of 1814 in Holland, including the bombardment of Antwerp, and storming of Bergen-op-
Zoom. Present at Quatre Bras and Waterloo.
6 Colonel B. Drummond served the campaign of 1814 in Holland, including the storming of Bergen-op-
Zoom. Present at Quatre Bras and Waterloo.
7 Colonel Standen served the campaign of 1814 in Holland, including the bombardment of Antwerp, and
storming of Bergen-op-Zoom. Present at Quatre Bras and Waterloo.
