TO MEMBERS OF REGIMENTAL MESSES.
MEMBERS of Regimental Messes, Residents in India and the Colonies, are
respectfully solicited to inspect the articles supplied to them, purporting to
be the manufacture of CROSSE & BLACKWELL, as in consequence of the great
repute in which their various condiments and table-supplies are held, large quantities
ofjgoods are prepared so similar to theirs in outward appearance, that the deception
is not discovered until the purchaser has opened them.
It is therefore important to all who wish to guard against disappointment, to care¬
fully examine their purchases, as C. & B. do not guarantee any articles to be of their
manufacture, unless bearing their name and address in full on the various bottles and
corks. The indents C. & B. execute for the principal storekeepers in India and the
British Colonies are most varied and extensive, comprising (among other preparations

known s\ipplies:—

Shrimp is fully retained as it is manufactured on the sea coast, where C. and B. have
a factory for this express purpose.

simile of the late Right Hon. Baronet's letter of approval.
