d'Arouce, and Guarda; different affairs on the retreat to and advance from Torres Vedras,
action at Sabugal, battle of Fuentes d'Onor (severely wounded in right hand and left wrist),
actions at Aldea de Ponte and Fuente Guinaldo, first siege of Badajoz, action at El Bodon,
different affairs during'the investment of Ciudad Rodrigo, also siege and storm of that for¬
tress, battle of Salamanca (severely wounded in the throat), capture of Madrid and the
Retiro, affaiis on the retreat from Madrid and Salamanca, battle of Vittoria, where he was
severely wounded in the shoulder joint and back.
138 Lieut. VVilford served in the Peninsula, and was present at the siege of Burgos, and
battles of Vittoria and Toulouse.
139 Lieut. Willis served at Walcheren, and was present at the siege of Flushing. Served
also the Peninsular campaigns of 1811, 12, and 14, including the 2nd and 3rd sieges of Ba¬
dajoz, investment of Bayonne and repulse of the sortie.
140 Lieut. Wills served in the Peninsula, and was present at the siege of San Sebastian,
and battle of Toulouse.
141 Lieut. Windle served with the 10th at the siege of Scylla Castle, in 1808 ; with the
Anglo-Sicilian array during the whole of its operations on the coast of the Faro, against
Murat ; and with the army on the eastern coast of Spain, in 1812 and 13.
142 Lieut. Fred. Wood was severely wounded at Waterloo.
143 Lieut. Henry Wood served in the Peninsula with the 76th, from June, 1813, to the
end of that war in 1814, including the siege of San Sebastian, passage of the Bidassoa,
battles of Nivelle and Nive, and investment of Bayonne. Served afterwards in the Ameri¬
can war, and was present in the action at Plattsburg.
144 Lieut. W. Woods served in the Peninsula with the 48th, in 1810 and 1811, and with
the 4th Dragoon Guards, in 1812, including the Lines of Torres Vedras, pursuit of Massena,
and the operations in the Alemtijo ; action of Campo Mayor, siege of Olivenza, and first
siege of Badajoz; with Colonel Colborne's Brigade, when, by a rapid advance, several con¬
voys were intercepted, and the country cleared to Guadalcanal and the fortified posts of
Benelcazar; battle of Albuhera, where he received two wounds and some severe contusions,
and was taken prisoner in the charge of the Polish Lancers, but subsequently escaped and
rejoined the army on its advance.
145 Lieut. T. T. Worsley served in the Peninsula with the 3rd Battalion of the 95th
(Rifle Brigade), fromlSll to the end of that war in 1814, including the sieges and captures
of Ciudad Rodrigo and Badajoz, battles of Salamanca, Vittoria, the Pyrenees, Orthes, Tar-
bes, and 'I'oulouse, besides numerous skirmishes. Served also the campaign of 1815, and
was present at the battle of Waterloo. Severely wounded at the storming of Badajoz, and
also at Waterloo.
146 Lieut. Wm. Wright (h. p. Rifle Brigade) served the campaign of 1815, and was
severely wounded at Waterloo.
