1 Colonel Ewart accompanied the Expedition to Copenhagen in 1807. Served in the Peninsula in 1808
and 9 under Sir John Moore, and was wounded at Vimicra. Accompanied Expedition to the Scheldt. Served
with the Light Division in the Peninsula from March 1811 to December 1812, including the battles of Fuentes
d'Onor, and Salamanca; and the sieges of Ciudad Rodrigo, and Badajoz (wounded). Served in the West
Indies from 181.3 to 1816 inclusive, and was at the capture of Guadaloupe. Served in the East Indies from
March 1819 to February 1823, and was employed as a Brigadier at the siege of Asseerghur.
2 Col. Fleming served in Calabria in 1806; at the capture of Alexandria, and attack on Rosetta in Egypt
in 1807; in the Peninsula during the carnpnigns of 1808, 9, 10, and 11, and was present at the battles of
Taiavera (27th and 28th July 1809), and Albuhera, at which last he was severely wounded. Served in the
West Indies, and with the expedition to the Southern States of America, in 1815.
3 Col. Pitt served at the capture of the Danish West India islands in 1807; and of Martinique in 1809.
Served also in the Peninsula from Jan. 1811 to Jan. 1814, including the battle of Albuhera; actions at
Usagre and Almarez ; siege of liadajoz ; battles of Vittoria, Pampeluna, and the Pyrenees.
4 Col. Hamilton served the campaign of 1799 in Holland, and was present in the diHerent battles; witli
the expedition to South America, including the attack on Buenos Ayres, and all the skirmishes which toot
pTace before and after that event; in the Ptninsula under Sir John Moore, including the battles of Roleia
Vimiera, and Corunna. Severely wounded (lost a leg) in action at Flushing, 7th Aug. 1809.
5 Colonel King embarked with the 11th Dragoons for the Peninsulain 1811, and was severely wounded,
(right arm amputated) in the action of El 13odon, and returned to England in consequence. Pro¬
ceeded again to the Peninsula the latter part of 1813 with the ICth Lancers, and remained until the end
of the war. Served also the campaign of 1815, including the battles of Quatre Bras and Waterloo. Joined
the 16th Lancers in India, in 1823, and served as Major during the campaign at Bhurtpore.
6 Lieut.-Col. Despard served at the siege and storm of Cliumeer, (received a contusion on mounting the
breach,) and three other forts in the East Indies, in 1807; siege of Gunourie ; campaign against the Seika
in 1808 and 9; campaign of 1817 and 18 in the Deecan, including the battle of Jubbulpore.
