1 Sir Arthur Clifton's services:—Campaigns of 1809, 10, 11, 12,13, 14, and 15. Commanded a squadron
in covering and supporting four Spanish guns at the battle of Talavera, and employed in different subse¬
quent operations; battle of Busaco, pursuit of Masseua from Santerim, taking from him prisoners and bag¬
gage; battle of Fuentes d'Onor, actions at Nave d'Aver, El Bodon, Fuente Guinaldo, and Aldea do I'onte;
several affairs during the retreat of the army from Salamanca to Ciudad Rodrigo ; charged with a squadron
a body of Fiench Infantry under General Clausel, near Salamanca, killing or taking nearly a jjundred of the
enemy; battle of Vittoria, blockade of Pampeluna, several affairs in the Pyrenees, battle of Toulouse,
skirmishing with the enemy and covering the retreat on the 17th of June, and battle of Waterloo. Sir
Arthur has received a Medal and one Clasp for Fuentes d'Onor and Vittoria.
2 Capt. Chandler's services :—Campaign of 1799 in Holland, including the actions of the 2nd and 6th Oct.;
siege of Malta, and surrender of La Valetta; battle of Maida; expedition to Egypt in 1807; Ionian Islands
lu 1800, and siege and capture of Santa Maura in 1810; wounded before Bosetta in 1807.
