horse shot (Medal): he was Adjutant of the Regt.
in tlie second AITshan campaign in 1942, as well as at
Maharajporc. Served in New Zealand duiins the
war of 1860 61 {Brevet of Lt.Col.)
4 Major Dowdier served with a detachment of the
12lh and 40th Regts. under Captain J. W. Thomas,
40th Regt., at the capture of a Stoclcade occupied by
insurgents at the Ballarat Gold Fields in Australia,
on 3rd Dec. 1354. Also in New Zealand during the
war of 1860-61 (Brevetof Major).
6 Captain Shawe served witli the 4th Dr.Gds. in
the Crimea from 5 Aug. 1855, including the battle of
the Tcheruaya, siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal and Clasp, and
Turkish Medal). Served with the 40th Uegt. in New Zealand durinc
the war of ISl'.O-Ol.
9 Captain Fisher served in the 82nd Regt. during the suppression of
