11 M»jor Foster served in the Indian Mutiny in 1857-38 and was in action with the rebel force at Chinhut on the 30tb
June 18.57, and from that date engaged in the defence of ihe Residency of Lucknow until its final relief by Lord Clyde
on 24th Xov.,—was severely woundeJ during the piege and mentioned in despatches by Sir John Inglis and the Governor
General; was subsequently engaged in the defeat of the Gwalior rebels at Cawnpore on 6th Dec. 1857 (Medul and Clasp,
Brevet of Miijoi*, and grant of a yeir's serviee for Lucknow).
12 Captain Harmar served during the Indian Mutiny in 1857-58 and was in action ^yitll the rebel force at Chinhut on SOtli
June 1857, and from that date engaged in the defence of the Residency of Lucknow until its final relief on 21th Kov. by Lord
Clyde (severely wounded, leg fractured by ;i round shot, mentioned in" despatches by Sir John Inglis and the Governor General,
Medal and Clasp, and grant of a year's service for Lucknow).
13 Captain Iton. K. H. de jlontmorcncy served with the 33rd Uegt. at the siege of Scbastopol and at tlic attack of
tlie Redan on the 8th Sept. (Medal and Clasp, Sardinian and Turkish Medals). Commanded a detachment of the 33rd
against the rebels, and alter the death of the Senior Officer, commanded the Dohud Held force, in suppressing ihe insur¬
gent Blieels in the Rewa Kanta Guzerat. Served with a wing of the Regt. at the siege and occupation of Dwarke,
Okamundel.
14 Lieut. Garforth sen'cd during the Indian Mutiny in 1858-59, including the Oude campiiign (Medal).
15 Lieut. Powell served with the 90th Lt. Infantry'with General Ilavelock in his advance on L\icknow up to the taking of tlie
Alunibagh; present in the defence of the Aluiiihagh, and relief of Lucknow by Lord Clyde and was severely wounded (Medal
and C:asp, and grant of a year's service for Lncknow).
IC Lieut. Rudd served in the Royal Navy Irom I8l7 until the dose of the Russian war when he retired as Sub-Lieii-
teiiant; was employed in the expedition against the Pirates in Uornco in the boats of the " Mieanrler " under Captain
Keppel in 1818; served in the Baltic during the Russian war in the " Ajair," and was present at the bombardment and
capture of Bomarsund (Medal).
17 Caplain Giddings nerved at the first and second siege operations before Mooltan, including tlie action of Saorjkoond,
storm and capture of the city, and surrender of the fortress; also at the surrender of the foi t and garnscn of Cheniote and
battle of Goojerat (Medal and Clasps). Served during the Indian Mutiny in I857-5iJ and was engaged in the defence of
the Kesidency of Lucknow from ;J01h June until ils final relief on 'ilth Nov. by Lird Clyde, during part of which lime he
acted as .adjutant of the Regiment and was also in temporary char.;e of posts in addition to other duties ; was subsequently
engaged in the defeat of the Gwalior rebels at Cawnpore on 6th Dec. 1857 (Medal and Clasp, and grant of a year's service
for Lucknow).
IS Qr.Master Stribhng served during the Indian Mutiny in lS.57-59 and was engaged in the defence of the Residency of
Lucknow- from the oOtli June until its final relief on 34tli Nov. by Lord Clyde (mentioned in despatches by Sir John Inglis); was
subsequently engaged in the defeat of the Gwalior rebels at Cawnpore on Gtli Dec, capture of the forts of Dehaign and Tyrhool,
action of Doadpore, and throughout the Oude campaign (Medal and Clasp, and ^rant of a year's service for Lucknowj.
19 Assist.Surgeon Harris served in the Crimea from 22nd May 1855, including the siege and fall of Sehastopol, the altack of
the 18th June, and battle of the Tchernaya (Medal and Clasp, and"Turkish Mcdalj. Also served during the Indian Mutiny iu
1857-59, including the capture of Luckuow and the Oude campaign (Medal).

6 Major Vachcr served throughout the Eastern campaign of 1854-5,5,—with the 33rd Regt. in the campaign of 1834 until
November, when he was appointed Assistant Engineer, right altack, and served in the trenches until I'eb. 1855, when
he was transferred to the General SlatT, and lield the appointment of D. A. (h M. Oen. at Head Quarters during Ihe
remainder of the war (Medal and three Clasps, Brevet Major, Knight of the Legion of Honor, 51b Class of the Medjldie, and
Turkish Medal).
7 Captain Wallis carried a color at the Alma, and although severely wounded through ihe thigh remained with
he Regt. until after the close of the action (Medal and Clasp, Sardinian and Turkish Medals).
8 Captain Kenrick served the Eastern campaign of 1854, including the battle of Inkennan and siege of Sebastopol
(Medal and two Clasps,and Turkish Medal).
9 Captain Greenwood served with the 33rd Regt. in the Eastern campaign of 1854, and was severely wounded while
carrying the colours at the battle of Alma (Medal and Clasp, and Turkish .Medal).
10 Captain Trent served at the siege of Sebastopol, and was wounded at the assault on the Redan on Ihe 8th Sept. 1805
(Medal and Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
11 Captain Willisserved at the siege of Sehastopol in 1855, and assauUs on the Redan on the 18th June and 8th Sept.—
wounded (Medaland Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
12 Captain Badgley served with the 32iid Regt. during the Indian Mutiny of I8.'i8-:)tt, and was present at the action of
Doadpore, and throughout the Oude campaign (Medal).
13 Captain Johnstone served at the siege of Sebastopol in 1855, and at the assault on the Redan on the 18lh Jcrne
(Medal and Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
14 Captain Stapleton served with the 43rd Lt. Infantry in the Kaffir war of !8r)1..53 (Medal.)
15 Captain Thompson and Qr.Master Vyse served ihe Eastern campaign of 18.54-5.'i, including the bailies of Alma
and Iiikerniaii, and sie:e of Sebasiop.d (Medal and ihree Clasps, and Turkish Mediil).
16 Surgeon Hanbury served mxh tlie 24th in Ihe Piinjaub campaifin of 1848-9, including the passage of the Cheiiab,
and battles of Sadoolapore, Cliillianwallah, and Goojerat (Medal and Clasps). Served in the Crimea during the winter
and spring of 1854-55 (Medal and Clasp fur Sebastopol,and Turkish Medal).
17 Assist.SurKeon Clark served Ihe Eastern campaign of 18,54-55, incliidins the battles of Alina and Inkerman, siege of
Sebaslopol, and assaults on tlie Redan on the 18th June and 8th Sept.(Medal and Clasps, Sardinian and Turkish Medals).
