14lli ,^pril; at the subscqueiit capture of Prome, and minor ekirmishee. Served at the siege of Sebasto|jol
from Dec. 1854 (Medal and Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
9 Captain Elliot served witli the 18th Koyal Irish throughout the Uurmese war of 1852-53 (Medal);
was with the storming party at the capture of Martaban ; on board H. M. S. Rattler, at tlie destruction of
the river stockades; and on land at tliat of those on the D.illah side; in the operations in front of Rangoon
on the 12th and 13lh April 1852, including the capture of the White House stockade; also at the storm
and capture of Rangoon (wounded). Served at the siege of Sehastopol from 20 Aug. 1855 (Medal and Clasp).
11 C:iplains Taylor and I'ocklington served in the Burmese campaign of 1852-53 (Medal). Served also
at the siege of Sebastopol (Medal and Clasp, and Turkish Medal). Capt. Taylor has the 5th Class of the
Medjidie.
12 Sir Henry Uavclock served as a D.A.Q.M.Gcn. in the Persian expedition from 15 Feb. 1857, including
tlic hombardment and capture of Moliumrah (Medal). Served tlirougliout the Indian campaigns of 1857-59 as
Aide de Camp to General Uavclock IVoin 7th July, in the actions of Futtehporc, Aoung, Pandoo Nuddee, and
Cawnpore, and as D.A.Adj.tieii. to tlie force from 2U July 1857, in the actions of Oonao, Bussecrut Gunge (horse
shot), Nawabgutige, Boorhecake Cliowki-c, Bithoor, Mungarwar, and Alunihagli, and relief of Lucknow on i25th
Sept—dangerously wounded by musket ball througli left elbow, and liorse shot; defence of the llesideucy until
relieved by LorJ Clyde on 17th Nov., on wliicli day again severely wnuiidcd by a rille ball through left shoulder.
Within a moulli joined the Jounporc held force under Gen. Franks as 1)..\ Adj.Gen., and was present at the
actions of Nusrutpore, Clianda, Uineerporc, aud Sultanpore. Pre-ent with the 'Itli Division before Luekuow from
4th Marcli till its fall, including the storming of the Lesser Emaunibarra and the Kaiserbagh. Served as I). A.
Adj.Gen. from 29th March with Lugai'd's column, and present at the relief of Aziingliur; operations to -1th June
(sabre cut on right hand) against the Jugdespore rebels, including tlie attack on that stronghold and eight minor
skirmishes. As li. A. G. in the disturbed disiricts of Ghazee])ore and Beliar under Brigadier Douglas from 15tli
June to Nov. 1858, includiug the operations in the fomier district in July and August, and the campaign in
Shahaliad in Oct. and November. Commanded a dclaclied body of 250 Mounted llillcmen and Cavalry in pursuit
of the rebels after they evacuated Jugdespore on l8tli Oct., intercepted aud turned them from the Soane river,
and three times engaged and defeated them, once at Nonadcc on 20th Oct, intlictinj: considerable slaugliter.
Cnnmiandcd a detachment of llodsoti's Horse with the Army in Oude tmder Lord Clyde, jind present at the
skirmish at Bnrgudeea, captiue of M\isjeediii, and final action on the Raplce on 31st Dec. 1858. Served till the
conclusion of the campaign in command of the Ist Regt. llodson's Horse. Was repeatedly mentioned in
Dispatches, has received the Victoria Cross, the Brevets of Major & ]jt.Colonel, and a Year's Ser\ ice lor Lncknow.
13 Captain Chapmiin served with the 2Uth Regt. througliout the Punjaub cmnpaign of 1848-49, including
the passage of the Chonab, and battles of Ciiiilianwallali and Gnojerat (Medal and Clasps).
14 Captain Crozier served with the 27th Re:it. during the Kailir war of 1840-47 (Medal).
Id Captain Baird served in the list Regt. the Eastern Campaign of 18.J4-55, including the battles of
Alma :ind lukennan, siege and fall of .^ebastopol (wounded 0th June), sortie of 2(itli Oct., and assault of
Iho Kcdan on 8tli Sept. (Medal and Clasps and Turkish Medal).
17 Major Comes served with the 53rd Regt. in ilie cam|iaign on the Sutlej in 1840 (Modal and Clasps),
and commanded the rearguard at Buddiival when cut oil by the enemy's cavalry, and effected his n-ireat
in an orderly uianner in the lace of the entire Seik cavalry, -his conduct on this occasion afterwards elicited
the Duke of Wcllinaton's " cordial approbation and ilianks for the gallantry and judgment he displajed in
protecting the baggage and sii k in the movement towards Loodijna, when attacked by a large force of the
enemy on the 21-t January." fie was also present at the battles of Aliwal and Sobraon. At Bnddiw.il he
was wounded in the leg, and his hor.-e was shot under him. Served with the TOtli Regt. the Ea-tern cam¬

21 Doctor Fraser served with the ?4th Kegt. throughout the K,iffir war of 1851-53 (Medal).
25 Qr.Master Hackettserved throughout llie Burmese War of 1852-53, int lading the taking of Marta-
ban, storming of Rangoon, and occupation of Prome (Bledal). Served also in the Crimea from Feb.
18.55, including the siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal and Clasp, and Turkish Medal).

14 Captain Anderson served with the 51st throughout the Burmese war of 1852-53; on board the E.I. C.
steam frigate Sesostris during the naval action and destruction of the enemy's stockades on the Rangoon

ture of Rangoon, and at the assault and capture of Bassein, lyth May 1852 (Medal and Clasp).
16 Captain Kirko seivcd in 1855 at the siege of Sebastopol (Medal and Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
20 Captain Knight served with the G4th Regt. in the Persian campaign in 1857, including the bombard¬
ment of Mohumrah (Medal and Clasj)). Served in Bengal and N.AV. Provinces in suppressing the mutiny
in 1857-58 ; present in the operations at Cawnpore under Gen. Windham, defence of Cawnpore and defeat
of the Gwalior mutineers, aud action of Kala Nuddee (Medal).
21 Lieut. Evans served in 1855 at ttie siege of Sebastopol (severely wounded), and at the storming of the Redan on the
8th Sept. (Medatand Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
22 Lieut. Vesey served as a Midshipman in the Baltic Fleet in 1854 (Medal).
23 Lieut M'Dakin served with the -i-nd Higldantiers the campaign of 18:>7-68 against the Alutinecrs in
India, including the actions at Cawnpore (6th Dec. 57), Seiiaghat, Kudygunge, and Shumsabad, siege and
fall of Lucknow and assault of the Wartiiiiere and Banks' Bung.ilow, attack on the fort of Rooyah, action
of Allygunge, attack and capture of Bareilly.
24 Captain Palmer served the Eastern campaign of 1354-55, including the battles of Alma and lukerman, siege
and fall of Sebastopol (I\Iednl and Clasps, and Turkish Medal).
27 Surgeon Ilassaid served in the Kaffir war o( 1851-53—horse shot in the Waterkloof (Medal).
29 Assist.Surgeon J. C. Smith served with the 21sl Regt. during 1856 at the siege and fall of
Sebastopol, and expedition to Kinbourn (Modal and Clasp, and Turkish Medal),
