1 Sir William Goinm served in the expedition to the Helder, in 17a9, including the action of the 19th Sept. at Bergen.
Expedition on the coast of France and Spain, under Sir James I'ulteney, in 1800. Expedition to Hanover in 1805; and
that to Stralsund .and Copenhagen in 1807. Campaign of 1808-9, including the battles of Roleia, Vimiera, and Corunna.
Expedition to Walcheren, and siege of Flushing in 1809. Proceeded again to the Peninsula in 1810, where he served
during the remainder of the war, the principal part of the time as an .Assistant Quarter Master General, including the
battles of Busaco and Fuentes d'Onor, assault and capture of Badajoz, battle of Salamanca; action at Villa JIuriel, battle
of Vittoria, siege of San Sebastian, and battle of the Nive. Served also the campaign of 1315, including the battle of
Waterloo. Sir William has received the Gold Cross and one Clasp for Badajoz, Salamanca, Vittoria, St. Sebastian, and
jVive; and the Silver War Medal with six Clasps for Boleia, Viiniera, Coriinna, Busaco, Fuentes d'Onor, and Nivelle; and
is a Knight 2nd Class of St. Anne of Russia.
2 Lord Mark Kerr eomnianiled the 13th Light Infantry in the Crimea from the 30th June 1855, and was at the battle of the Tchernava,
siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal and Clasp, Turkish Medal, and 5th Class of the Medjidie). Commanded the 13th from 3rd Oct. 1357
in suppression of the Indian uiutiiiy ; eommiinded the Column at the relief of Aziraghur on Cth April 1858, and the Kegt. in the escort of
a large convoy of stores and ammunition into the garrison on 9lh April and subsequent pursuit of Koer Sing's army on Hth April; com¬
manded the Column despatched for the dispersion of rebels, and in the attack on and retreat from the fort of Jugdespore (wounded);
commanded the Regt. in the Trans-Gogra campaign including the action at Toolsepore {CB. and Medal).
3 Lt.Colonel King served throughout the campaigns in .Aflghanistan from 1838 to 1842 inclusive, including the storm and capture of
Ghuznee (Medal), storming the Khoord Cabool Pass, affair of Tezeen, forcing the Jugdulluck Pass, reduction of the fort of Mamoo Khail,
defence of Jellalabad, and sorties on the 14th Nov. and 1st Dec. 1811, llth March, 24th March, and 1st April 1842, general action and
defeat of Akbar Khan before Jellalabad (Medal), storming the heights of Jugdulluck, general action of Tezeen, and recapture of Cabool
(Medal). Served in the Crimea from 30th June 185.^. and was at the siege and fall of Sebastopol {Medal and Clasp, Knight of the Legion
of Honor, 5th Class of the Mcdjidie, and Turkish Medal). Served in the Indian campaign, and commanded the left wing 13th Lt. Infantry
in the operations under Col. Kelly in Tirhoot and the Terai, including the actions at Bootwab on 25th and 28th March 1859 ( Medal).
4 Colonel Home served with the 12th Uegt. in the Kaffir war of 1851-53 (Medal and Brevet Lt.Colonel).
0 Major Pelo served with the 73rd Begt. in the Kaffir war of 1840-47 (Medal).
7 Major MacDonald served in the Tuikish Contingent at Kertch, first as Brigade Maior and afterwards in command
of a Regiment (Turkish Medal),
8 Lt.ColoncI Muter served in tlie Punjauh campaign in 1848-19, including the siege and capture of Mooltan, battle of
Coojerut, pursuit and surrender of Shore Sing, occupation of Attock and Pesliawur (Medal and two Clasps). Served the cam-
iaign of 1857-68 against the JIutiiieera iu India; commanded a Wing of GOth Kiflcs at Meerut in suppressing insurgent villagers
_'rom 10th May to 26th Aug.; present with the Ist Battalion from Oth Sept. at the siege of Delhi, assault and capture of the
City on Hth Sept. with the final attack on and occupation of tlic Palace on 20th Sept.—succeeded to the command of the
.ittacking Col imn on Kishiugunge on 14th Sept. on the fall of Major lleid (Brevet Major). Served as U.A.Adj.General to the
tloorlicc Field Force tinder Brigadier Jones during the campaign in Roliilciuul, including tlie actions of Bugaivalla and
Iv'ugena, relief of Moradabad, action on tlie Dcijura, assault and capture of Barcilly, attack and bombardment of Shahjehanpore
defeat of the rebels and relief of the garrison, capture of tlie fort of Bunnai, pursuit of the enemy to the left bank of the
Goomtee, and destruciioii of the fort of Mahomdee (Medal and Clasp, Brevet of Lt.Col.). Was on hoard the troop ship
" Eastern Monarch " when she blew up and was burnt on Srd June 1859.
H Captain Peel served in the Crimea from 30th June IS.'i.'J, including the battle of the Tchernaya, siege and fall of Sebas¬
topol (Medal and Clasp, and Turkish Jledal). Served in the Indian campaign; commanded the rear guard in the
retreat fiom Jiigdespore, and was present in the actions of Bootwab (Medal).
16 Captains Baiiibrigge, Long, and Chichcster, landed with the Kegt. in the Crimea on the 30th June 1355, and were at the battle
of the Tchernava, siege and falfof Sebastopol (Medal and Clasp, and Turkish Medal). Captain Long has the 6th Class of the Medjidie.
18 CaptainR. M. Hall landed with tlie 48lh Rt^st. in the (Crimea on the 21st April 1855, and served at Iho siege and
fall of Sebait ipol (Medal and Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
