I 4 Lieut. Hesketh served with the 42nd High-

5 Captain Macartney, late a Captain in the I7th Lancers,
was present with a squadron of the l;Jth Lt. Drs. at Kurnool
and in the action of Zorapore 18th Oct. 1839. Served with the

Tchernaya (Medal and Clasp and Turkish Medal).

and Wiiterloo, besides minor affairs. Severely wounded by a grape-shot while carrying the regimental colour of the S8th at
Salamanca, and'Slightly wounded at 'Waterloo. He has received the War Medal vith tliree Clasps. Major General Byam's
first commission wasaii eiisigncy in the .'iStli, with which Regt. he served two campaigns: all his other commissions and tlie
rest of Ills service were in the 15tli Hussars.

11 Captain Bainbrirtgc served with a Squadron of the 17th Lancers in the Indian campaign of 1858 under Sir John Michel, in¬
cluding the affairs of ttajgluu-, Mongrowlce, Suidivalio, Kliuree, and Zeerapore (Medal).
13 Captain Miles served as Interpreter with the 7ard Regt. during the Indian Mutiny in lSri3-5!), and was present in the
operaiions in the Nepaul Terni (Medal).
16 Lieut. Young served with the Bombay Rifles the Persian Campaign of 18r>6-.')7, including the storming of Reshire,
surrender of lUishire, niglit attack on British rear guard, and battle of Koosh.ab (Medal with Clasp). Also with the same
Regt. and the Poonah Irregular Horse, the Indian Campaigns of WSZ-.W, present in operations against the Bheels in the
Nasskk and Kandeish Hills; commanded during four months early in IS.W the frontier post of Rajapore; afterwards
with the Sathoora field force against the Rohillas and Bheels in the V'indhya mountains ; and subsequently in 1858-59 on
the Divisional Slaftof Sir John Michel against the rebels under T.antia Topee in Cential India (Medal).
