Fortress and Citadel of Ghuznee, for which he obtained the brevet rank of Lieut.-Colonel and
Order of the Doranee Empire. Commanded the Regiment throughout the campaign in Kohistan,
and at the sieges of Tootumdarrah, Jhoolghur (led and commanded the storming party),
night attack at Biboo Koosh Ghur, Kardurrah, aad Perwandurrah, when Dost Mahomed
surrendered, and the force returned to Cabul. He has received the War Medal with two
Clasps for Martinique and Guaduloupe; the Medal for Ava ; and ]Medal for Ghuznee.
10 Colonel Harty served with the 33rd at the capture of Bourbon and the Isle of France in
1810 ; the campaigns of 1813 and 14 in Germany ani Holland, including both the attacks on
Merxem, and the assault of Bergen-op-Zoom. Also the campaign of 1815, including the
battle of Qaatre Bras, the retreat on the following day, and battleof Waterloo, —slightly wounded.
11 Colonel Burney served at the capture of Ischia and Procida, in 1809 ; defence ol
Cadiz in 1810 ; action of the Coa and Sabugal, battle of Fupntes d'Onor, retreat from Burgos.
Served the campaign of 1814 in Ilidland, including the action at Merxera, bombardment of
Antwerp, and storming of Bergen-op-Zoom. Engaged in the Burmese war at the attack of
Padowa Pass and the fortified positions of Mahatee ; storming the stocUades and hills near, and
taking the town and works of Arracan. Wounded on the ICth June 1815, at Quatre Bras, by a
musket-shot in the left shin, and dangerously by a ball which entered the back part of the head,
lie lias received the War Medal with one Clasp for Fuentes d'Onor.
12 Colonel Duudas served in the 47th Uegt. on the expedition to South America in 1806-7,
and was present at the taking of Maldonado, in several skirmishes, and at the attack and
storming of Monte Video. He served afterwards in the East Indies, and was present in 1814 at
the capture of the Fort of Now Niiggur, and in several skirmishes. He served also in the
Burmese Territory from Jan. 1S26 till pence was proclaimed.
13 Colonel Wilhngton served in the East Indies from May 1813 to May 1823, includ¬
ing the campaigns of 1815 and 16 in Kattywar and Kutch; taking of Anjar; Deccan campaigns
of 1817 and 18; campaign of 1819 in Candeish; and in Kutch in 1820.
14 Colonel Wcstmore served the campaigns of 1813 and 14 in Germany and Holland,
including both attacks on Merxem, and the assault on Bergcn-op-Zoom; served at Waterloo on
the 16th, 17th, and 18th June, and was severely woundeel.
15 Colonel Poole served throughout the operations in Siiinde (Medal) under Sir Charles
Napier, and commanded the 22nd at the battle of Meeanee, and a brigade at the battle of Hyder¬
abad. He was also previously at the destruction of the Fort of Imaumgliur in tlie Desert. He
served the campaign in the Southern Mahratta country in 1844-5, including the investment and
capture of the Forts PanuUa and Pownghur.
10 Colonel White's services :—Campaign in Spain, under Sir John Moore, including
the retreat to and battle of Corunna, where he was wounded. Siege of Flushing, and capture
of Walcheren; campaigns in Canada, from Nov. 1813, to the end of the war. He has received
the War Medal with one Clasp for Corunna.
17 Colonel Tennant served at the siege of Flushing in 1809.
17t Colonel Story served in the Peninsula and France from Nov. 1812 to May 1814,
including the siege of San Sebastian, and passages of the Bidassoa and Adour. Ue has received
the Silver War Medal and one Clasp for San Sebastian.
18 Colonel T. C. Smith, prior to entering the Army, served for a short period in the Navy,
and was three times wounded. He served in the Peninsula from June 1813 to the end of that
war in 1814, and was present at the affair of Ordal. He served also the campaign of 1815, and
was wounded at the battle of Waterloo.
19 Brigadier General Sution served throughout the Kaffir wars of 1834-35, 1840-47, and
18.jl-.j2. At the commencement of the latter war he defeated a large force which made an
attack on Fort Beaufort, a very important success at that period (Medal). Served in com¬
mand of the 2nd Brigade 1st Division with the rank of Brigadier throughout the operations
in the North of China in 1860, and was present at the action of Sinho, storming of Tangku,
advance on Tientsin and Pekin, and battles of the 18th and 21st September (Medal and Clasps,
and CB.).
20 Colonel Hodge commanded the 4th Dragoon Guards in the Eastern aempaign of 1854-55 ;
was on board H. M. S. Sansparcil in the naval attack on Sebastopol, 17th Oct. 1854 ; also
present at the battles of Balaklava and Inkerman, siege of Sebastopol, night-attack on
Russian outposts, 19th Feb. and battle of Tchernaya, 16 Aug. 1855 (Medal and Clasps, CB.,
Officer of the Legion of Honor, 3rd Class of the Medjidie, and Turkish Medal).
21 Colonel Crombie embarked in Feb. 1854 with the Coldstream Guards for Turkey, and
served in Bulgaria.
22 Colonel Macbean served in the Peninsula and France, from July 1812 to August
1814, including the aff'air at Osma, battle of Vittoria, both sieges of San Sebastian and
capture of it; passage of the Nivelle, 10th November, and actions of the Nive, 9th, 10th,
11th, and 12lh December, 1813. Served also the campaign of 1815, including the capture
of Paris. Served afterwards with the Army of Occupation until 1818. lie has received the
Silver War Medal with four Clasps.
23 Colonel James served in the Peninsula and France, from Oct. 1812 to April 1814,
including the battles of Vittoria. the Pyrenees, Nivelle, and Orthes, for which he has received
the Silver War Medal with four Clasps. Served subsequently in the American war.
24 Colonel Doherty served with the 14th Lt. Dragoons throughout the Punjaub campaign
of 1848-9, including the action of Ramnuggur, passage of the Chenab, battles of Chillianwallali
and Goojerat, pursuit of the enemy across the Jhelum, and of the Affghans over the Indus
through the Khyber Pass (Medal and Clasps). At Uamnuggur he brought the charging
