' Doctor Anderson served the Eastern campaign of 1854, and up to 13th June 1855, including the battles of Alma,
Balaklava, and Inkerman, and siege of Sebastopol; was P.M.O. 4th Division at Balaklava and Inkorman (Medal
with four Clasps, Knight of the Legion of Honor, and Turkish Medal). Was present at the capture of Canton in
Dec. 1857 (Medal with Clasp).
^ Doctor Dumbrock, prior to the breaking out of hostilities, was despatched on special service early in 1854 to the
expected seat of war, and traversed on his mission Servia, Bulgaria, and part of Roumelia, crossing the Balkan on
his route ; he was subsequently for a short time Principal Medical Officer with the Army, and served with ir, in the
field as Senior Deputy Inspector General, and was present in this capacity and was attached to Head Quarters at
the affair of Bulganac, the Alma, capture of Balaklava, battles of Balaklava and Inkerman, and siege of Sebastopol
(Medal with four Clasps, CB., 4th Class of the Medjidio, and Turkish Medal).
* Mr. Franklin served in the Peninsula from Sept. 1808 to the end of that war in 1814, including the battles of
Vittoria, Pampeluna, PjTenees, Nivelle, Orthes, and Toulouse, and siege of Badajoz (War Medal with six Clasps).
Served also in the American war, including the battle of Plattsburg. He served in India from April 1842 to June
1850, and was present at the battles of Chillianwallah and Goojerat, in the Punjaub campaign (Medal with two
Clasps, and CB.).
= Doctor Hume served at the siege of Sebastopol, and was Principal Medical Officer of the 3rd Division during the
wmter of 1855, and afterwards of the 4th Division until the end of the war (Medal with Clasp, 5th Class of tte Med-
jidie, and Turkish Medal).
« Doctor Jameson served in the Kaffir war of 1846-47 (Medal). Served in Turkey and Russia from April 1854 to
July 1856 (5th Class of the Medjidie, and Turkish Medal).
' Sir Wm. Linton preceded the Army to the East in 1854 on a special mission of inspection throughout Roumelia.
Served with the Army at Scutari and in Bulgaria; accompanied it to the Crimea, and was present at the affair of
Bulganac, battles of Alma, Balaklava, and Inkerman, sortie on 26th October, opening of the siege of Seba&topol,
and every succeeding bombardment until its fall: was noticed in Lord Raglan's despatches of nth Nov. 1854, " for
his able exertions as deserving of being most honourably mentioned " (Medal with four Clasps, CB., 4th Class of the
Medjidie, and Turkish Medal).
8 Doctor Scott served in the Peninsula from March 1813 to the end of that war in 1814.
9 Mr. Taylor served with the 29th Regiment in the Sutle.i campaign of 1845-46, including the battles of Ferozeshah
and Sobraon (Medal and Clasp) ; and with the 80th Regiment in the Burmese war of 1852-53, including the capture
of Martaban, the operations before Rangoon on the 12th, 13th, and 14th April, and capture of the Great Dagon
Pagoda; also at the capture of Prome (Medal with Clasp for Pegu). Was in medical charge of the 3rd Division
before Sebastopol from 20th March 1855 to the end of the war, including the assaults of the i8th June and 8th Sept.
,(CjB., Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
If Mr. Williams has received the 5th Class of the Medjidie, and Turkish Medal.
" Mr. Annesley served with the 8th Regiment at the siege and capture of Delhi in 1857 (Medal with Clasp).
" Doctor Atkinson served the campaign of 1B47 in Kaffraria, under Sir Geo. Berkeley (Medal). The following
year he accompanied Sir Harry Smith's expedition over the Orange river against the insurgent Boers, and was
present at the battle of Boem Plaats—remaining on the field with the wounded, the troops having pursued the enemy
