•*" Captain M'Gorrery Berved in the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal
with Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
'*' Captain M'Kay served with the 72nd Highlanders in the Crimea from 28th May 1855, including the expedition
to Kertch, siege and fall of Sebastopol, and attack of the i8th June (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal). Served
as Staff Officer to Major Rocke in the action of Pertabghur on 24th December 185S (Medal with Clasp).
>** Captain M'Mahon served in the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, was present at each action and at the fall of
Sebastopol (Modal with three Clasps, and Turkish Medal). Also the campaign of i860 in China, including the taking
of the Taku Forts and each action (Medal with two Clasps).
'" Captain M'Murdo served with the 79th Highlanders in the Crimean campaign from the i6th Aug. 1855, including
the siege and f.iU of Sebastopol, and assault of the 8th September (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal). Served
also ia the Indian mutiny campaign in 1858-59, including the siege and capture of Lucknow (Medal with Clasp).
^" Captain G. Macartney served as an Officer of Militia in Canada during the suppression of the insurrection, and
was present at the siege of Navy Island.
'*5 Captain MacGUlivray served at the siege of Sebastopol in 1854-55 (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
'** Captain Magniac served in the Burmese war of 1852-53, including the relief of the garrison at Pegu (Medal
with Clasp for Pegu). Sujlpression of the Indian mutiny, and present throughout the attacks on Cawnpore by the
Gwalior Contingent on 26th 27th and 28th November 1857, siege and capture of Lucknow, and subsequent opera¬
tions inOude (Medal with Clasp). Served in the Indian N.W. Frontier war of 1863, and was present at the attack
and capture of the Crag Piquet, the Conical Hill, and Umbeyla (Clasp).
'*" Captain Marsh served with the 34th Regiment at the siege of Sebastopol from 9th December 1854 to 20th Feb.
1855 (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal). Also in the Indian campaigns in 1857-59, including the actions at
Oawnpore on 26th 27th and 28th November 1857, capture of Meeanguuge, siege and capture of Lucknow (Medal
with Clasp).
'** Captain D. W, Martin sei-ved during the Indian campaign of 1857-58, from the commencement of the outbreak
as Assistant Field Engineer, was present at the advance on Delhi under the Commander in Chief, General Auson,
Jind after his death under Sir H. Barnard; was Orderly Officer to the Chief Engineer at the battle of Budlekeserai,
and was present at the siege of Delhi as Assistant Field Engineer (Medal with Clasp).
1*' Captain R. C. Martin sensed with the 19th Regiment at; the siege of Sebastopol from 31st August 1855, and was
dangerously wounded at the assault of the Redan on the 8th September (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
1* Captain Mascall served with the Baltic expedition in 1855 (Medal).
1^' Captain Master went with the expedition to The Hague in the 2nd Battalion of the Grenadier Guards, and
served the campaign of 1813 and 14 in Holland, including the taking of Mer.xem, bombardment of Antwerp, and
.storming of Bergen-op-Zoom. Served also the campaign of 1815, and carried the King's Colour of the 3rd Battalion
Grenadier Guards at the battles of Quatre Bras and Waterloo; he was also present with the storming party at
Peronne, and subsequently at the capture of Paris.
'=- Captain Maunsell seiwed with the 82nd Regiment in the N.W. Provinces in suppressing the Indian mutiny in
1857-58, and was present in the operations at Cawnpore under Windham, defeat there of the Gwalior Contingent, and
actions of Kalee Nuddee and Khankar, capture of Bareilly, and relief of Shahjehanpore (Medal).
1^' Captain Maynard served in suppression of the Indian mutiny in 1857-59 (Medal).
'5* Cajitain Meredith served with the 13th Regiment in the last American war, and was present at the capture of
Plattsburg in_i_8i3, and at the battle of La Cole'Mill.

158 Captain Morrison (formerlj- a Captain in the 51st Foot) served with the 19th Regiment in the Eastern campaign
up to 28th October 1S54, including the battle ofAhna and siege of Sebasto])ol (Medal with two Clasps, and Turkish Medal).
15" Captain Mudge sei-ved with the Baltic expedition in 1855, was engaged with the l)atteries of Frertericksham on
2ist July, occupation of the fortified Island of Kotka and destruction of barracks, &c., there on 26th July, also at
bombardment of Sweaborg (Medal).
'* Captain A. Munro sei-ved in the 7th Fusiliers throughout the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the battles
of Alma and Inkerman, affairs of Bulganac and M'Kenzie's Farm, capture of Balaklava, siege and fall of Sebastopol,
and sortie of 26th October (Medal with three Clasps, and Turkish Medal).
'*' Captain J. Murphy served in the Eastern canij)aign of 1854-55 in the Royal Artillery and Land Transport Corps,
including the battles of Alma. Balaklava, and Inkerman, capture of Balaklava, attack and occupation of the Ceme¬
tery and suburbs on the i8th June, siege and fall of Sebastopol; also landed ths Detachment of L. T. Corps with the
Light Cavalry Brigade at Eupatoria (Medal with four Clasps, and Turkish Medal).
1^^ Captain Mytton served in the Indian mutiny campaign in 1857-58, including the battles of Sindwaho and
Kurai (Medal).
"^ Captaiu Nagle served the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the battles of Alma and Inkerman (wounded),
siege and fall of Sebastopol, sortie of 26th October, and assault of the Redan on the 8th September (Medal for Dis¬
tinguished Conduct in the Field and annuity of ^£20, also Crimean Medal with three Clasps, Knight of the Legion of
Honor, and Turkish Medal).
"* Captain Newall served with the expeditions to the Baltic in 1854 and 1855 (Medal).
'<■» Captain Newbigging served with the 89th Regiment in the Indian campaign m 1858-59, and present at the
affair at Honoria in Goojerat, and acted as Staff Officer to a Field Force in pursuit of Tantia Topee and the Rao
Sahib in Rajpootana.
"■^t Captain M. Clarke served the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the battles of Alma, Balaklava
{wounded), Inkerman, and the Tchernaya, affairs of Bulganac and M'Kenzie's Fami, expedition to Kertch, siege
and fall of Sebastopol (Medal with four Clasps, Medal for Distinguished Conduct, and Turkish Medal). Served in
the Indian campaigns in 1858-59, and was present at the capture of Kotah and pursuit of the rebels with Brigadier
Honner (Medal with Clasp).
'^° Captain Nisbett served in the Crimean campaign from September 1855, including the siege and fall of Sebas¬
topol (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
'*' Captain Nott served on the China expedition of 1857-60, including the blockade of the Canton river, bombard¬
ment and storming of the city, expedition to the North and capture of the forts at the mouth of the Peiho river and
operations there. "With the expedition to Hankow, action with the batteries at Nankin 20th November, actions on
2istNovember, at Gauking 26th November 1858, and at Shanghae during the attacks by the rebels in i860 (Medal
with two Clasps).
i«« Cai)tain O'Callaghan served with the 13th Light Infantry throughout the campaign of 1840-42 in Affghanistan,
including the storming of the Khoord Cabo'ol Pass (wounded), recapture of the Fort of Mamoo Khad, at the attack
on the Rear Guard under Colonel Denny at Putteapore, and various skirmishes, heroic defence of Jellalabad and
sorties of 14th November, ist December 1841, 14th and 24th March, and 1st April 1842, general action and defeat of
Akbar Khan before Jellalabad on 7th April (Medal). Storming the Heights of JugduUuck, general action of Tezeen,
and recapture of Cabool (Medal), and was with the force which rescued the Cabool captives. Was present at the
suppression of the Sepoy mutiny at Sukkur in Scind in 1844. Served in the Crimea from 30th June 1855, including
the battle of Tchemaya, siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal, also Medal for Distin¬
guished Conduct in the field). Served in the Indian mutiny campaign in 1857-58, including the relief of Azimghur,
also with the escort of a large convoy of stores and ammunition into the garrison of Azimghur, subsequent ptirsuit
of Koer Sing's Force, attack on Jugdespore, and action of Toolsepore (Medal).
1"" Captain Arthur Ormsby served in the Peninsula from March 1809 until 1811, and was present at the crossing of
the Douro, and in the Lines of Torres Vedras. He served the campaign of 1815 with the 14th, and was present at
the battle of Waterloo and storming of Cambray, at which last he was "slightly wounded. Served afterwards in the
East Indies, and was present at the siege and capture of Hattras, also in the Deccau campaiprn of 1817 and 18, and the
siege and capture of Bhurtpore under Lord Combermere.
