»- Major Dennie served with tlie zSth Regiment at the siege of Sebastopol in the winter of 1854-55, where he re¬
ceived severe injuries from frost-bite, which necessitated amputationof half the rightfoot and a great pai-tof theleft,
in cousetiuence of which he was placed on the retired full pay, and with a pension of .1(^150 per annum (Medal with
Clas]), and Turkish Medal).
"■' Mr. Sanders served in the Austrian Army in 1849-51; was present at the battle of Novara, and served the cam¬
paign against Garibaldi in the Roman States, for which he has a Medal. Served as Adjutant in the 30th Regiment
a,t the siege of Sebastopol in 1855; was in the Trenches at the attacks of the 8th and'i8th Jime, and was twice
severely and once slightly wounded at the assault of the Redan on the 8th Sept.—left leg amputated—mentioned in
despatches (Medal with CInsp, Sardinian and Turkish Medals).
•■" Qr.Master Greenwa.y served the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the battles of Alma and Inkerman,
siege and fall of Sebastopol, bombardment and suri-ender of Kinbourn (Medal with three Clasps, and Turkish
Medal). Was shipwrecked in the Spartan on the Dog Rocks, coast of Africa, 5th Jul.y 1856, wdicn returning with
Troops from the Crime:!. Served in the Indian campaign of 1857-58, including the relief of Lucknow by Lord Clyde,
occupation of the Alum! lagh under Outram with the several engagements there, fall of Lucknow, relief of Azimghnr,
capture of Jugdespore ; served with the Shahabad Field Force, and present in action on 14th, 17th, 20th, 21st, and
23rd Oct. 1858 (Medal with two Clasps, and a year's service for Lucknow).
'J Ijicut. Devine served the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, in the Roval Artillery and Tm-kish Contingent, including
the battles of Alma, Balaklava, and Inkerman, sortie of 26tli Oct., attacks of the Redan on i8th June and 8th Sept.,
siege and fall of Sebastopol, and capture of Kinbourn (Medal with four Clasps, Knight of the Legion of Honor, and
'Pjirki.sh Medal). Served in the Indian campaign of 1857-58, and was attached to the gth Lancers at the advance on
the Dilkoosha and La Martiniere and throughout the operations resulting in the relief of Lucknow by Lord Clyde ;
present during the occupation of the Alumbagh under Outram with the several engagements there, fall of Lucknow,
reUef of Azimghur, capture of Jugdespore, and affair near Reotee ; served with the Shahabad Field Force, and pre¬
sent in action on 14th, 17th, 20th, 21st, and 23rd Oct. 1858 (Medal with two Clasps, and a year's service for Lucknow).
"« Lieut. Ramsey served in the Royal Artillerv throughout the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the affairs
of Bulganac and M'Kenzie's Farm, battles of Alma, Balaklava, and Inkerman, siege and fall of Scliastopol, and re¬
pulse of the sortie on 26th October, and expedition to Kiubourn (Medal with four Clasps, and Turkish Medal).
«' Lieut. Davies served in New Zealand with the Military Train, acting as Light Cavalry, in the Wanganui cam¬
paign of 1865, and was present at the affairs at Nukumaru and Kakaramea (Medal).
»» Lieut. Acheson served in New Zealand during the wars of 1860-61 and 1863-65, and was present at the relief of
and repulse of the night attack on No. 3 Redoubt on 23rd Jan. 1861, and in every action in which the 65th Regt. was
engaged in the war of 1860-61 (Medal).
8^ Lieut. Irving served with the 4th Regt. throughout the Abyssinian campaign in 1868, and was present at the
action of Arogee and capture of Magdala.
